    Hi Everyone!

I know it can take up to a year for eye color to finalize, but I was just wondering when your babies eyes changed? Did it happen "over night" or go through several different colors/shades before becoming permanent? Just curious - what color did they change to? My babies eyes haven't changed yet and I can't wait! :p

My kids eyes were all a grayish blue when they were born & all but one still have blue eyes now. They did get bluer, though, and it was a gradual change over a period of time. I can't really say when they started to change because it was so gradual. They have also continued to change somewhat after age 1, but not as dramatically.

my guys are only just starting to change. about a month ago i noticed a slight hazel ring around their pupils, so subtle that i thought i was imagining it at first. it's very gradually gotten stronger. so while it's still only the tiniest bit of change i can definitely see it there now. so i guess i first started noticing a change between 7 1/2 and 8 months. but i have no idea if that's something that goes with adjusted age, which would mean it's more like 6 months.

My DD eyes stayed a dark blue color (just like her Daddy) and DS started out with the same color but then it gradually went from blue to a murky grey color and I think by 6 months his eyes settled on a brown with some green in it.

My pedi said that by 6 months if the eyes are still blue then they'll be blue or green. Usually brown eyes have changed by 6 months old.

Both my twins had blues eyes then at 51/2 months DS started changing some to a greyish then turned brown with a tint of green at times. DD stayed blue. But, the Dr told us you have up to a year for them to change.

JT's eyes are still a darker blue but they have changed from the "newborn blue" they've gotten a little lighter. Jack's are blue to stay bc they have changed to a really light blue like his Mama's;) I would say for sure at 3-4months his got way lighter and have stayed that way.

My boys were born with navy blue eyes and they just got lighter over time. Now they are a light blue and our pedi said after 15 months they will stay.

My oldest had very dark blue eyes when she was born and was sure they were going to turn brown, like mine ... they did, it lasted 2 1/2 - 3 years! She had green eyes almost until her 3rd birthday and then slowly they started to turn hazel, which they are now.

The twins have light blue eyes, like my husband, from day 1, never changed.

Our boys' eyes didn't start changing until about a year old. I still marvel at their pictures at 6-9 months old when they had bright blue (Jacob) and bright green (Aaron) eyes. They both now have a sort of hazel effect. In a dark room, their eyes look brown. In better light, they are clearly a mix of blue, green and carmel.

Our babies had very dark gray eyes when they were born. Gradually, our son's eyes developed a ring of yellow in them like my husband's, barely noticeable unless you are really close to them. Our daughter's eyes are a clear blue with a ring of white and not a trace of yellow. Similarly, the white is barely noticeable unless you are really close to her. Their eyes changed color so gradually that I don't know when it started.
