Ok. so I have had 2 C-sections before with my other 2 kids. My son (who will be 5 in 3 weeks) was great! No breathing problems or anything like that. My daughter (1 in 4 weeks) was delivered on her due date at 40 weeks but had breathing problems and had to be in oxegen for almost a day.

I had my ultrasound today and Twin A (Aurora) is about 5 and a half - 6 pounds and Twin B (Arianna) is about 7 pounds.

I had a non-stress test also and they said if Aurora didnt pass I would have been delivering today!
Well, she is good and did wonderfully. Still moving and practicing breathing.

My doctor says because she isnt growing anymore that I had to schedule the C-section and get her out because she may be in stress, And if she stays in is very likely to LOSE weight instead of gaining it.

I am so nervous because i dont want to have to see her in the oxegen stuff all wired up.. it was SO hard for me to see my daughter like that even though she was full term. They still dont know why she had breathing problems. lots of STUFF in her lungs.

I am praying so hard that they will both be ok and be able to be in the room with us.

What are the chances a 5 and a half pound baby WONT need that stuff?

First of all, good luck on Saturday!!!

My little guy was 5 lbs 10oz, they took him to the nursery for maybe 2 hours just to monitor his breathing...they said his O2 levels were a bit low. He was with us within 2 hours!!

Hang in there momma, I wish you all the best and look forward to reading your birth story!!!!

:hug99: I'm sorry to hear that happened with your daughter. I don't know the chances of it happening with a baby 5.5 lbs. I just wanted you to know that we're all here rooting for you and the babies and we hope everything goes smoothly. Please try and not worry yourself with this too much Momma. :hug99:

I don't think weight has anything to do with it, it's lung maturity. So you never know. I know how hard it is seeing your children hooked up to oxygen, my two had it while in the NICU, but it sounds like it will be safer to have them be born then still inside you if she is not growing. I know it's not easy though. :hug99: Hang in there and good luck to you Saturday, can't wait to read the birth announcement. :hug99:

My last set was born by c-section at 37 weeks and 4 days. They were 5 lbs 8 oz and 5 lbs 10 oz. Both of them did great in the OR and they came and stayed in our room the whole time. I wish you a healthy delivery and hope that your babies will stay safely with you too. Hang in there momma..

We are going through the same thing. I have my c-section set for Monday morning. Baby a isn't growing like she had been, so they want me to deliver at 37 weeks. I'm also worried about breathing issues. I just pray they are ok and don't need any NICU time.
