Does anyone else have extra sensitive skin while preggo? It's so hard to shave, because my skin is so sensitive and it leaves little red bumps in some areas. (Mostly the upper legs).

I'm wondering if there's a cream or lotion or something out there that can help the senstiive and itchy skin?

My skin has been super sensitive, itchy, and peeling/flaking since 8 weeks. After trying many lotions I finally found that Lubriderm for extra dry skin (has a dark red cap) works the best for me. I hope you find some relief soon. I know how bad it can be.

For some reason I can't even use lotion on my legs anymore. I actually got some aloe jelly from a L'Bri rep and it has been VERY soothing. Its the only thing I can use without breaking out into hives. I was never quite like this before - but since becoming PG, I've had SUPER EXTREME sensitive skin and even some problems with eczema.

It isn't the most moisturizing stuff out there, but it cools and calms the skin. It isn't like the aloe you get during the summer that sells along side the tanning lotions/sunblock. It is colorless and is only sticky if you use way too much of it. A little goes a long way. I've also used it on my tummy and it has helped MORE than anything else I've tried - even my old reliable!

Thanks for making me and my dry itchy legs feel normal! Here I thought only my belly would itch but no... :)

I'd definitely go with a fragrance-free, as natural as possible lotion or product to avoid all the extra chemicals. Have you tried anything like Aquaphor?

Speaking of Aquaphor - I really like something very similar to that, Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream. I used it more than a decade ago when I had my breast reduction surgery and I was super dry and itchy afterwards. When I was a MK rep, I stocked up on the stuff. I use it for heat rash, diaper rash, chapped lips, etc. BUT like Aquaphor, it leaves the skin feeling greasy. If you are about to go out of the house, it isn't the best thing you want to put on under your clothes. That's why I love the L'Bri Aloe stuff. It's super duper light and does the job. I wouldn't use it as a daily moisturizer, but since I can't use any kind of lotion any more, it's great for daytime use. Think like the night cream I menioned and the Aquaphor are great for use at bed time, though.

The lower half of my lower legs (pretty much just what gets covered in socks) gets really itchy to the point I was making them bleed. I've been using Aquaphor with much success. I agree it does leave you a bit greasy, but the relief is worth it. :)
