I had planned to wean by one year, but now that we're getting close, I've decided to BF my sons to 18 months. I just want to thank ALL of you for your amazing inspiration and support-- I am sure I would not be doing this without you guys. My DP is supportive, although not as gung-ho as I am... and I am sure EVERYONE else I know will not be supportive. <_< Oh well. I'm still excited!

My boys will be 1 year old in 2 weeks and are EBF except for 1 bottle for Jackson each day (habit for him). I am so grateful to all of you for your amazing support-- I literally wanted to quit almost every single day for the first 3 months. If not for you guys, I don't think I'd be where I am today with BFing. The first 3 months were long, but the last 9 have just flown by!! Wow.

THANK YOU to all of you for sharing your experiences, advice, and support. You are THE BEST! :hug99:

This is one of those decisions I know for sure you will not regret!!!!!! It is totally different to nurse after the first 12 months, and I hope it makes the transition to toddlerhood easier on all of you ;)

Good for you! I credit EN with getting me through several difficult phases of tantrums and clumsiness resulting in floods of owies and bruised feelings. Nursing provided us with a few breaks in our day when I desperately needed them.

Erin, that's so awesome! Ditto Kristi - you won't regret it. :) I'm enjoying nursing so much at this age. It's so much fun now that they're so aware and interactive. Nothing like having your babies (toddlers!) say "Nom nom nom!" after they nurse! :D

And btw, I can't believe your gorgeous boys are almost 1 already!!! Happy (almost) birthday!

Keep it up and way to go!! Nursing toddlers is a whole other ball game and I LOVE IT! Congratulations! BTW, don't tell people that don't need to know. When they stopp needing to nurse so often in public it gets easier to 'hide' that you are still nursing from people who would give you flack. I tell people if they ask and am PROUD to say I still nurse them. But for those naysayers who would rain on our parade of good health and well being for our children, they don't need to know. Again, keep it up as long as YOU or your KIDS want...nothing else matters!
