I posted a couple of days ago about my DS with a missing testicle. Well, I guess they are going to skip the MRI and do an exploratory surgery in October to see if it's hiding somewhere. It's a same day surgery procedure, but will last at least 90 minutes. I would love to hear if any of your children have had surgery for something. How did they recover? They nurse said that little kids rebound very fast.

my oldest had a testicle that did not descend. he had to have surgery and he did great. it was me that did horrible. I was such a wreck. he was on pain meds and we made sure he got them on time b/c i didn't want him in ANY pain. He basically slept the whole day and was completely normal the next day. it was unbelievable. you can always pm me if you have any other questions.

My son had surgery for an undescended testicle when he was 15 months old. They told us it would take about an hour, but it only took half an hour. He did great. He never showed any signs of pain at all. The only side effect was that his legs were a little weak for about 2 hours after the surgery. I just held him most of that time. Like PP said, I was a wreck, but my little guy did just fine.

I know that there is nothing I could say to help calm you, but just know that he will be alright and that he will be in good hands.

I would like to say...I have worked in the OR....and the way that they treat children...is so heartwarming...I have seen nurses and dr's pick up crying babies at the end of their surgery when they were starting to wake up....and just cradle them in their arms.....The really do treat them just as you would want them to....

    I wish you well,

    Missy
