Expecting Di Di Twin Girls

I am 27 weeks pregnant with Di Di Twin Girls I Will be 7 months on Monday I would love to know if my girls are identical or not but they are not able to tell me they just say that they are most likly Fraternal but there is still a 20 to 30% chance they are identical to get the placenta tested after they are born and if they have different blood types they are not identical...I'm getting a little worried but hoping all will be well I was put in the hospital for a week because they were worried I would go into labor cause my cervix was 1cm and it was soft and short it was 2.7 in length while I was in the hospital I got my steroid shots for their lungs so that will help if I deliver soon which I am hoping I will not the girls are also over 2 lbs already which is also good they did a test also that was neg so they said I won't deliver in the next two weeks but I am home now but on bed rest and not aloud to do much of anything just little things but if anyone has any helpful into about Di Di twins or anything please post

 

I have di di boys. Like you, I was told they'd probably be fraternal. I wanted to know for sure, so I ordered a DNA test. It was the coolest email I've received in a while. It had 12 different genetic markers and the results were exactly the same down to the hundredths place!

I'm sorry you are on bedrest- my cervix went from 4 cm to 1.7 at around 27 weeks. I drastically cut down on activity and went into labor at 37w 5d. You can do it! I highly recommend Dr. Barbara Luke's book on twins.

Thanks I have also cut down on activity a lot I stopped walking so much cause I don't have a car and I also have a 2 and a half year old little boy so everywhere we needed to go I had to walk to get food etc but I never really thought to much of it cause I was feeling fine and had nothing to worry about up until I went into the hospital so i'm hoping I can hold off at least till 30 come weeks but am happy I got my shots so if they do some they have a great chance And if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to get the dna test done and it like a normal dna test?

 

With my twin girls, i could tell as soon as i saw them, they looked so different. My doctor wanted to test anyways and they had different blood types so we knew they were fraternal.
