    Oh my goodness, I have never felt so exhausted in my life...well even if I did when I was preggo with the twins, I don't remember it! I could sleep over 12 hours straight and still be tired all day long. I've been taking my vitamins and I haven't been suffering from morning sickness at all really, so I can't say that I'm not eating enough~ in fact, I need to SLOW down :banana:
    WEre or are any of you going through such terrible exhaustion? I had to force myself to work out today and while I did I felt great but it was torture to get going. I used to workout faithfully, almost daily, until I found out I am pregnant back in November. I instead gave into my tiredness and took a break from my routine.

    ANy suggestions on how to gain at least some energy back???

    <yawn>

    BTW, congrats and welcome to the forum!

    Based on my blood work, I should be due around the same time as you. (I will have a physical exam next Tuesday to hopefully help confirm dates)

    I have been nothing but exhausted the past 3 or so weeks.

    I did start walking on the treadmill at lunch this week and this has so far help a little bit through the day, but by 6pm, I am so so so tired.

    I was this way with both other pregnancies, though.

    I was completely exhausted the beginning of this pregnancy. I still get pretty worn out but not nearly as bad as I was. I think we feel exhausted more because this time we have our twins to take care of. Where as before when we needed to rest we could and didnt have to think twice about it. Now naps and resting arent so easy. It gets better!!

    I'm 9 weeks today and exhaustion was one of the first things that made me suspect I was pregnant. It wasn't the usual get no sleep taking care of twins tired. It is ridiculous all out exhaustion. Yawning uncontrollably constantly worn out feeling. I get kind of wired from the up all night no sleep. All the coffee in the world couldn't help this kind of tired so I just suspected something. That was the first symptom when I was pregnant with the twins started the day I got a positive test. Hopefully it will go away soon for us all. I too tried to walk on the treadmill the other day and it did help but now I've been too sore the past 2 days to do it. Maybe today. lol.

    I was the same this time around, and last time...but not with the twins...but remember we got naps then!!!! Not the case this time for me...I think chasing after two (or 3) little ones is the culprit! I am 14 weeks now and finally getting over that exaughstion! So hang in there and rest when you can...eat healthy and often and drink..drink..drink!! (water of course!!!!) There is a light at the end of the 1st trimester!!

    The second trimester is usually better for energy. I know my sister has always felt that working out while pg gives her more energy. How far along are you? your ticker says 7 weeks..but if you found out you were pg back in November you'd have to be further along than that...

    I was so tired at the beginning that I would go to sleep the minute my husband came in the door from work and sleep til the morning. I stopped feeling that exhausted around the end of the first trimester. Don't get me wrong.....I'm still tired....but I can function again.

    Glad to know this is NORMAL :) I remember being somewhat tired with the twins, but you're right, I did get to sleep whenever I wanted. I work part-time, as a waitress, so I feel like when I work I don't absolutely have to exercise because I run my butt off... But yesterday I did do 25 minutes of low-impact aerobics and 45 minutes of yoga. I felt awesome doing it, yawned even still but felt great :) Afterwards though I was still tired.... grrrr. I used to have to talk myself out of working out because I did it obsessively, but now I can't talk myself into doing it! hahaha. I'm definitely falling out of shape quickly and unfortunately, eating healthy hasn't been my strong suit. I eat a balanced breakfast, but after working 3/4 hours I am famished and end up eating anything that will fill bad cravings. I snack all of the time too but I really need to revamp the who eating situation in my home! Healthy foods are not my families favorites so I have to overhaul the pantry. Such foods never used to appeal to me, but right now I think I am trying to ward off the nausea with food, thinking it will go away but fully knowing it won't!!

    Can't wait for trimester 2!!!!
