Ok....so what is the difference b/t the two?

At what ages did you start using them?

If we can only get one, which do you recommend?

    Thanks in advance,
    Miriam

    Hi Miriam [IMG]

I found this page for you at Target.com. It has different jumpers and exersaucers. I had both, and now have 2 walkers. I had the type of jumper that hangs from the doorway. If I had to choose from an exersaucer and the doorway jumper, I would choose the exersaucer. The new type of jumper looks cool though! I LOVE the walkers now that they are a little bigger, and we don't have any stairs for them to fall down, so that is not a problem.

I started using the exersaucer at about 3 months, just rolled up blankets and put them around the babies, to keep them from wobbling. I used the jumper by about 5 months or so.

Good luck with your decision! [IMG]

We had both and my girls definitely preferred the jumperoo. I have heard some negative comments on the jumperoo causing leg problems, but I have to disagree--at least in my girls' case. They loved it and we used it two to three times a day for about 20 minutes each time. It seemed to strengthened their legs and they were walking by 11 months--they were premeeies, too. They used both the jumperoo and the exersaucer from about five months. I would definitely recommend the jumperoo!

We had one jumperoo and one exersaucer and I don't know what I would have done without them both. You can generally start using the exersaucer around 4-5 months, the jumperoo is probably a bit older as they are jumping and really need that control. We didn't get our jumperoo until they were 7 months as we were borrowing it from my sister and that is when her little girl was done with it. I still sometimes put them in them if I need to contain them for a bit. They don't really like being in them anymore, but sometimes I can't let them roam free if I need to do something. If I could only get one I'd say the exersaucer since there is more to do on it, but would really recommend one of each and just rotate the babies in them.

Mine love both the exersaucer and the jumperoo. I can't imagine life without them - the help you get 15 minutes of peace to fold laundry! They are completely different types of activities and I recommend getting both. We have the Baby Einstein exersaucer and the standard Jumperoo (not rainforest). They are both wonderful.

Ditto on one of each - jumperoo and exersaucer. We were a little late in getting ours - we just got them about 3 weeks ago. It's amazing the difference it's made in the strength in their legs. Maybe you can find them in a resale shop, so you don't have to pay full price.

I guess you can say we went a little crazy. We had the "around we go entertainer" and kolkraft excersaucer. Both of our boys loved them. We started using them around 4 months. A month ago DH got for them the rainforest jumperoo, which was a big hit. Then DH got the safety 1st walker and the boys loved it. DH's parents got them the Kolkraft walker which is good as well. Our living room and dining room have no furniture in them and it is like a bumper cars area. The boys love their walkers and I don't know what we would do without them. I think you really only need 2 items but I do enjoy the variety of them.

We have the Baby Einstein exersaucer and the Gymtastics Jumperoo. One of my girls goes crrrrrrazy in the Jumperoo while the other one just likes to move a little bit, although she loves it when I move it for her like she's jumping. They both love the exersaucer. They play with every toy on it. Like pp's, I couldn't live without either of them. We decided on two different things (rather than 2 exersaucers) to give them a variety.

We bought the Evenflo mega exersaucers. The boys love them. I didn't want to get a jumper because I had heard that there was a recall on the ones that hang from the doorway for falling on the kids. This was awhile back but I didn't want to risk it. [IMG]

we bought two different exersaucers so that we could switch them up during the day. We bought the Baby Einstein exersaucer and the Evenflo 3-in-1 exersaucer (it has the toys dangling from above). I must say that I don't know what I would do without them!! They love them. They can stay in them for up to 30 minutes just playing. I will say that they love the Evenflo one more than the Baby Einstein b/c the Evenflo allows them to jump up and down in it. The Baby Einstein is completely rigid so they can't jump up and down in it, but they love the toys on it.

We have 2 exersaucers, 2 jumpers, and 2 walkers plus a super play yard. Depending on the girls mood is what they like but they seem to prefer the exersaucers over the jumpers. We started using them around 4 or 5 months. Now a days they prefer the walkers or crawling around the floor...

We had both. One of my girls preferred the jumperoo and the other the exersaucer, which worked out well! Nowadays, my mover doesn't like to be trapped in either, although once in a while she gets a kick out of the jumperoo (has to be in the right mood). But she loves standing up against the exersaucer while her sister is in it.

YEA! I'm so happy to hear all the positive comments about the jumperoo and exersaucer! I just bought a jumperoo at a twin sale for $27, and I got a doorway jumper for 7 bucks! I also have two exersaucers that I got at showers. I don't know where we're going to put it all but I'm excited about the boys using them. Sounds like I should start now though, which I may do today! Woohoo!
