So when do they lose interest in their saucers? I am trying to plan our living room and want to know how long I am going to have to keep these things.

    Thanks

    Tammy,

I don't have a final answer because we still have them and the girls tolerate them from time to time, but my twins started losing interest right around 7.5 months. They started using them around 3 months old and really loved them from 4-6 months. Now, at 8.5 months old, they will occasionally be interested, but I'm finding that the saucers are really just being used to pull up on from the outside now that they're more mobile.

We also started using them around 4 months to help with their flat heads. However, they quickly lost interest when they started crawling around 7 or 8 months. I already put one away, I could probably put the other away because I've probably only put them in there 2 or 3 times in the last month. They do get bored in them quickly now plus I feel guilty for pinning them up when they want to be crawling on the floor exploring and playing with their toys. They turned 10 months today.

I noticed they are not nearly as interested in them. Because of reflix they spent a lot of time in them. Now that Elizabeth is crawling, she doesnt want to be in it. Thomas is not crawling, but he rolls his way everywhere and prefers his jumperoo over the saucer.

I was seriosuly considering getting rid of them and hoping them would be okay without them. :)

    Thanks for the input.

I think I will get rid of these ones in a couple more weeks and when we have our next baby, I will just get another one at a moms sale or something. Although we are TTC now, it would be a year before we needed it again.

    Thanks again@

My DD still uses both an exersaucer and a jumperoo (whatever it's called!) every day, and her boys are 9-1/2 months old. The one lucky enough to get the jumperoo is the happy camper, the one in the exersaucer doesn't stay content as long but it will buy her a good 20 minutes most days. She's ready to get rid of the clutter too but not willing to give up that little bit of time!

I know my 23 month old used the saucer until he was over a year old. He couldn't walk until he was 15 months, so I think it just helped him see what was happening in the room better. His saucer bounced too. It was noisy, but I think that made it more fun for him. He did, however, figure out how to get one of the toys off the saucer. Now he's a pro at dis-assembling everything!!

Mine lost interest when they started crawling. They didn't want to sit in it anymore, but they liked pulling themselves up on it and still playing with the toys. That was around 6 months but I kept it out in the livingroom for a couple of more months. By then, I was sick of looking at it.

Mine lost interest about the time they started crawling. My DS hated to be "confined" and always wants to move. DD might tolerate it for 10 minutes now, but that is about it. We still have ours in the living room because they do like to pull themselves up on it and play with the toys and walk around it.

Mine are loosing interest now... Beau likes the jumparoo here and there but Savannah just assume she is never in anything... They help me get 20 mins a day to cook dinner but lately i put them in their high chairs and let them eat puffs and cherrios while mommy cooks...

We put away all "confined" toys (excersaucer, jumperoo) when they started crawling to encourage them to crawl and explore.

Ours is still in our living room, but the cloth seat part is taken out of it because they like to use it to stand up in the middle and play with toys on the tray part. But they used to do it a lot more than they currently do. It can probably go away pretty soon. :)

Believe ti or not, my girls are 20 months and I STILL use one as a "holding zone" while I am in the shower. One wakes up earlier than the other. I throw her in there and she is good while I shower/dress,etc. Once the other wakes up I put her back inher crib and they play, etc until I am done.

Mine are starting to want on the ground more. But they haven't lost interest in their exersaucers yet.
