I was wondering how long kids usually like exersaucers for. We have one that we have been using, but I am not sure if we should get another.

Do you guys think that haveing 2 is worth it? And how long will they enjoy playing in it?

    Hey,
we didn't get two since they are a bit on the pricey side, so what we did was get the exasaucer and a jumperoo so that they had different things to do. I don't know how long they will use it but I imagine for at least a few more months, or at least I am hoping! [IMG] Mine are almost seven months old and have just recently really started to enjoy all the toys and know how everything "works" and they usually spend about 30 minutes in there. HTH!

We have two and use them simultaneously A LOT!! I am sooooooo glad we have two. One was our oldest dds, and the second one we got at a yard sale and cleaned it up real well. I couldn't live without two. One of our exersaucers actually opens up to be a walk-in activity center once the babies start to walk. The toys on it convert to ages 1+ by switching things around to make them more interactive. We used it with our oldest dd until she was around 18 months or more. Totally worth the money, IMO.

We also have two johnny jump ups from yard sales that we use simultaneously as well. (Like the jumperoos, only they hang in a doorway and I can quickly put them away to get rid of some baby clutter).

WE have two and use them a lot. They even like watching their Baby Einstein videos will playing in them. I would buy one right away to make sure your boys like them and then buy a second if they like them well enough. I think my boys will like them for a long time and then after they get too big to be inside, I know that they will like pulluin gthemselves up on the outside and walking around them while learing to walk.

I didn't. Take up too much space and then I could rotate them between things... I know that some people have had two and LOVED having two. It's really a preference thing.... (that wasn't helpful at all! Sorry!)

We have one exersaucer and one jumperoo and we just rotate them. They don't like being in them as much as they used to now that they are mobile, but with my oldest we did use it until she was walking and even a little after if I needed her confined for some reason, like if I had to use the restroom. I would recommend getting a jumperoo rather than a second exersaucer and they could use both.

Same here too. We've had them since they were about 3.5, 4 mo old. They still go in them but would much rather be out of them crawling now that they've discovered they're freedom. I've gotten alot of hot showers out of them! They were invaluable here.

We had one for a long time and then my mom bought us another one (and one for herself). It's great because now we have two that are different and it's like a whole new activity. We also have the jumperoo but DD is definitely more in love with it than DS so I don't put him in it as often. They have their "favorite" toys now so it's not as easy to rotate them to each standard station.

We have 2 different exersaucers - one baby einstein and one evenflo that turns into an activity center. We rotate them. My girls are 6 months old and have been using them since they were 5 months and LOVE being in them. My husband and I say to each other every day we don't know what we would have done without them b/c it allows us to free up our hands every now and then to do other things (eat dinner, take a shower, do laundry, etc....). We got ours at babies r us, but I would check yards sales to see if you can get one cheaper b/c they are expensive. I don't have a jumparoo, so I can't say whether that is a must have or not.

I have 2 different exersaucers and LOVE them! the boys sit in them and babble at each other while they are in them. I get my long hot shower EVERY morning for right now. I struck it lucky, got one at a mothers of multiples yard sale and was lent the other from someone else...makes it TOTALLY worth it! [IMG]

Not at 5 months...soon they will be crawling and not wanting to be confined in a seat. I'd invest in a gate instead

Same here on the one exersaucer and one jumperoo and we seemed to use them for quite a while. Even when they didn't like being in them they always walked around them playing with the toys and music so for us they were a total must have!!! HTH! [IMG]

While I've read on other posts that some think it's too early, we started ours right at 3 months. They could support their heads well, and we just stuffed blankets around the girls to keep them in place. It was SO helpful to finally have another "station" to put them in. At that early age, they weren't in them for more than 30 min. a day, but it was def. a life saver for me!

Excersaucer age is usually about 4 months up (per packaging).

We bought 1 Excersaucer and a bit later, 1 Jumperoo. We are still using both but since they are mobile (crawling) they really don't seem to enjoy the Excersaucer as much. I found that 1 of each was plenty. DD still LOVES the Jumperoo. We'll probably get rid of the Excersaucer soon.
