My MIL buys all the grandkids one big gift ($100+) and then some smaller gifts. She wanted to know what to get the boys and I told her that they would be 5 1/2 months old and would need some type of walker/activity c2enter. She is getting them each one so what would you recommend?? 2 walkers, a walker and jumperoo, exersaucer and walker...not sure if we need two of something or just one of each?
We have two jumperoos (grandpa bought them both used) and they both get well used. If your boys like moving around, I'd definitely recommend them!
I would recommend a exersaucer and a jumperoo. We had both and we could switch the girls around and they really enjoyed them both and it kept them entertained for quite a while.
We have a jumperoo and a exersaucer, both boys like both so we can switch them between and they're still entertained.
We like our jumperoo. We never had an exersaucer. I know some babies like walkers, but we'll never have one, since we have stairs. We only have one jumperoo (would not have room for 2 and I don't think we need 2 of everything). They take turns and it works out fine. Now one likes to jump in it and the other watches and plays with the toys from the outside.
I would recommend one jumperoo & one exersaucer, then you can switch them back & forth. Walkers are no longer sold in Canada due to safety risks, so we never had one and I don't have any experience with them. ardon:
We don't have a walker or exersaucer, but my oh my how the girls love the Jumparoo. I've got to suggest one! I would probably pick something different for the other big gift, but don't know which one to suggest. Definitely the Jumparoo. The girls love it and so does every adult that enters my house... its down-right funny!!! :silly:
Our bright starts exersaucer also has a jumper mat so if you get one like that it will benefit as a saucer and jumperoo....also get a walker. We switched ours around between the two.
OK, I'm going against pretty much everyone else, but we LIVED by our exersaucers. For a while, that was the only place the girls would eat. The snack trays are great now for sippies and puffs while I shower or cook dinner. Now, here's the catch. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend that you get one of the 3 in 1 series that will come apart later and turn into an "s-shaped" table that the kiddos can stand up and play at and walk along. You'll get miles out of that and we only used the jumperoo for about 2 months. Never had a walker. The pedi told us they actually inhibit walking because they train the legs incorrectly.
