I'm uncertain as to what to get! My baby is almost 4 month and I never had a jumperoo or excersaucer with any of my kids... we had a walker for the twins and I wasn't so happy with it. What would you all recommend??? :)

For our twins, we had both. The kids loved both. I would say with the exersaucer, they preferred to stand outside of it and play with it. The jumperoo they preferred to sit in that one and play. I would say if you prefer contained play time, go with the jumperoo. But I think either one is a good choice and your baby will most likely be happy with either one.

I had the exersaucer (in the link above) with my third child and really liked it. Compared to others it's cheaper and it's nice. It's not top of the line but it works well. The kid can just stand or bounce. So it's almost a nice combo of the exersaucer and jumperoo. It's more compact which was important to me since we have a small house. I bought ours when my third was about three months old. We wore ours out. The actual seat is in great shape but the toys all came off. Not the fault of the seat but my very rough two older children. When the twins are ready for some entertainment I plan on buying two more. My older kids have calmed down so we shouldn't have the problem with the toys like we did the last time.

We had both too. I would say exersaucer if you are getting just one.

I vote for both! We actually have three exersaucers and one jumperoo ;P Two were free hand me downs and we keep those upstairs as extras for entertainment and containment while Mommy has a shower or puts away laundry or whatever.

They love to each be in one and at this age they look at one another and laugh their heads off while I'm in the next room which is so cute :)

If I had to choose one I'd say that the jumperoo is the more popular of the two in our house.

My oldest loved her excersaucer when she was little, but we just bought the Fisher Price Barn Animal Jump/Excersaucer for our girls to use in another month and a half. I'm sure they will love it! It is like an excersaucer, except it is on bouncy strands that attach to the bars (instead of having to have the jumperoo in a doorway).

We were told by Early Steps, which is an organization that sends developmental specialist to your house to monitor the milestones of your preemies. She always advised me to not use jumperoos, walkers or excersaucers. They crawled right on cue, around 5 months and started walking at 11 months without the use of any of those items. They have lots of toys that kept them occupied so we just stuck with those.

Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you!

Yeah...add us to the camp of having both. My boys probably played more with the exersaucer than the jumperoo. I got the exersaucer by Evenflo that was 3 in 1. So it was a tummy time mat, the exersaucer, and then it could come apart so that they could stand and play with it, like this one : Exersaucer

We had one of each too. They really loved jumping in the jumperoo but the exersaucer had the cooler toys! Good luck in your decision. In our house I would say the jumperoo was the favorite of the two...hee hee.

We had one of each too...they were both lifesavers. We could switch them up and they really enjoyed them both.
