My oh my how fast the time does fly... I feel like I just left the hospital and here we are at two months!! Our appt was great yesterday. Alyssa weighed in at 5lbs 4oz at birth and is now up to a whooping 9lbs 4oz!! Ashley WAS our bigger baby at 5lbs 6oz and is now only a mear 3oz behind her sis at 9lbs 1oz! (ashley will take a paci and alyssa wont so she nurses longer... I guess I know who is gonna be the "chubby" one!) The reflux is so much better now that they are on the Zantac but Alyssa is still colicy! YUCK! But she is so sweet still. The doc is having me quit all dairy products for two weeks. He also recommended drinking wine. I think it is great to tell people that my doc told me to quit drinking milk and start drinking wine!! lol Has anyone ever tried this??

Oh what else. We are waiting on the "tounge clipping" to see if it impairs their speech. I have mentioned before that they are both slightly tounge tied. The pedi says that they should be able to stretch it on their own as they grow because although it is attached all the way to the tip it is very "skinny" and not thick so it should stretch easily. We are waiting to hear later today about their placenta results. I posted pics here two days ago so you can look there if you would like to see my lil ladies!

We are still nursing and going great!! Thanks for all the advice so far mommas!! I know you are all gonna help me survive this first year!

Way to go on the great appointment!!

My DS is tongue-tied. We never had it clipped. He will be 2 in July and for the most part it hasn't affected his speech. I can tell he has trouble with some sounds but it's not too bad. His is also attached all the way to the tip. He wasn't able to stick his tongue out past his lips until he was about 18 months, but other than that we haven't had any problems with it. I remember the first day I saw him stick his tongue out past his lips, I was so excited and called just about everyone to tell them. :D

Is the wine for reflux? My DD has it and it's getting worse..would love to know if that's what the wine is for...I think I could handle that!

Congrats on the weights...I think mine were about those weights too, and I'm breastfeeding as well..what a great feeling!

He mentioned the wine for tummy aches in general. but we are also dealing with pretty severe reflux. I dont know if it happens this fast but today has been one awesome tear/crying free day so far. I think I will try the wine again tonight!! It calms my nerves none the less!!lol MY aunt also told me to drink mint tea (which I am also doing) for tummy troubles and the doc said that it might help but that the wine would be better. Try it hope it helps!!
