[SIZE=12pt]Well, I went for my 12 week check up today. I swore I was going to be getting a sonogram or u/s or something but a BIG NO! The dr. says that everything is fine fine fine! Gosh with the twins I was getting ultrasounds every 2 weeks!! It is good that everything is normal, but I wanted to see a pic of my little peanut!! I guess this is what a "regular" pregnancy is like!

So, no gest. diabetes, no high blood pressure, no open cervix, no need for cerclage. Everything is boringly healthy! I did get to hear the little peanut's heartbeat tho! So I guess he/she is still in there! lol!

    :)

Congratulations on the great appt!!! I can only imagine that it's really WEIRD not to have all the extra u/s's etc.!!! That would drive me crazy!!!

LOL I was/am the same way. I've only had four ultrasounds this time around (3 were because they couldn't find the h/b) and its so hands off, I'm also so small belly wise that I barely feel pregnant and I'm almost 28 weeks!

No news really is good news :)

Bridget, boring is very good! I'm happy to hear everything is going great and you got to hear your peanuts heartbeat. Sorry that they didn't do an u/s, maybe next time.

I'm glad you had a great appt...but I agree that sometimes boring just sucks...lol!!! With Olivia, I had ONE u/s at 9 weeks and that was it!!! That's all my OB does unless there ismedical reason to do more. Obviously with the twins, I was having them all of the time with my OB and with the peri. It was "routine" to have an u/s all the time then. I was goign through serious withdraw with Olivia with not being able to see my baby and it was really hard on me. So, DH and I went to one of those 3D/4D imaging places when I was 20 weeks and paid $165 for a 40 minute session. That was the best money I ever spent. It was completely awesome! We got to find out what we were having and it put my mind at ease that my baby at least had 2 arms, 2 legs, 10 fingers, 10 toes, etc...I mean, the only u/s my OB did at 9 weeks she still looked like a bean...lol!

Yes, you will feel totally dejected with all the non-attention! :) Glad it was boring.

Thats how I felt too. I had so much go wrong with my twin pregnancy that it was boring when I would go to the Dr and not get a u/s or anything.

That first pregnancy after twins is so hard since you don't get to see the baby all the time! Thankfully, I'm used to it this time around and wouldn't even go to the midwife every 4 weeks if it wasn't scheduled like that.

I'm glad everything is going wonderfully for you!
