THIS IS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS "HIT THE WALL" OR DOESN'T THING THEY CAN DO IT ANY MORE. MY GIRLS WERE BORN LAST WEEK AT 34 WEEKS VIA EMERGENCY CS DUE TO IUGR. ONE WEIGHED 2 LB 13 OZ AND THE OTHER 3.9 OZ. I TOO WAS FEELING MISERABLE IN MY PREGNANCY BUT NOW I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO HAVE THEM STAY INSIDE TILL FULL TERM HAD IT BEEN SAFE. HAVING YOUR BABIES IN THE NICU IS THE MOST DEVISTATING AND AGONIZING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I CAN BARELY BREATH EACH DAY I AM SO FRIGHTENED FOR MY BABIES HEALTH. MY LITTLEST ONE HAS AN INFECTION, THEY CAN'T FEED HER FOR 7 DAYS AND SHE HAS IV'S AND TUBES AND NEEDLES ALL OVER. IT'S THE HARDEST THING IN THE WORLD TO SEE THEM THIS WAY.I SPEND EVERY WAKING MOMENT OF THE DAY IN CONSTANT WORRY. I KNOW THEY ARE STRONG AND ONE DAY THEY WILL COME HOME, BUT TILL THEN, I FEEL AS THOUGH I AM LIVING UNDER WATER. SO PLEASE PLEASE EMBRACE EVERYDAY YOUR BABIES ARE IN YOUR WOMB, IT IS SO WORTH IT. EACH DAY IN YOUR WOMB EQUALLS 3 DAYS LESS IN THE NICU AND BELIEVE ME, YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR BABIES IN THERE IF POSSIBLE. I WOULD CARRY THESE GIRLS IN MY BELLY FOR A YEAR IF I COULD HAVE KEPT THEM OUT OF NICU. PLEASE PRAY FOR MY MORGAN AND MEAGAN AS THEY ARE STRUGGLING THRU THIS CHALLENGING ENTRY TO THE WORLD. ALL I WANT IS FOR THEM TO GET HEALTHY AND COME HOME.

NO MATTER HOW MISERABLE YOU MAY BE BY NOW, REMEMBER IT'S SOOOOOOOO WORTH IT! SMILE, YOU ARE LUCKY THAT THEY ARE STILL GROWING SAFELY INSIDE YOU WOMB. CARRY THEM AS LONG AS POSSIBLE..

Wow! What an ordeal for you to have to go through! I have been definately uncomfortable and people have been asking me if I want them to come early and I can honestly say NO! Now after hearing your story I am definately feeling that I want them inside until they are scheduled to be delivered... Hey, it's only another 3 weeks away!

I will say a prayer for you and your little girls. I hope that you get to bring them home soon! :hug99:

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I can only imagine how difficult it must be. My thoughts are with you and I wish your babies a speedy recovery.

Your post makes me very thankful that I have been able to carry my babies to term. As hard as it is some days, I really do want them healthy and if that means a few extra days or even weeks of discomfort, it is totally worth it, as your situation illustrates. Thank you for sharing your story and giving those of us close to delivery motivation to keep going and to put things into perspective.

Thanks for sharing your story and reminding us all of how fortunate we are that we are still carrying our babies. I've been hitting that wall for the last few weeks now, but I know how much better off they are inside me right now, even though I have my moments when I feel like I can't be pregnant for another second. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you right now. I'll say a prayer for your girls that they have a quick and uneventful NICU stay. Good luck!!

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm sorry that you're having such a difficult time. Prayers for your babies that they'll get out of NICU quickly without major difficulties along the way.

Have you been to the TS NICU forum? It seems like there's lots of helpful advice there.

    Hang in there!!

I'm so sorry you are going thru this. I couldn't agree more. Mine were born at 36 weeks and spent a day in the NICU, still to this day even though they are perfect and home, I still wish I could have carried them a week or two more. I too was miserable and actually thankful the day I went into labor but that last two weeks would have given them a much easier start.

I will pray for your babies...hold onto the thought of the day they come home. YOu are strong enough for them!

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS. IM GLAD ALL IF THIS WAS A MOTIVATOR FOR ALL OF YOU TO PRESS ON, EVEN IF IT'S JUST FOR ONE MORE DAY. I TOO FELT THAT WAY EVEN ONLY AT 34 WEEKS, BUT I SURE TOO HAD A REALITY CHECK NOW AND WISHED I HAD QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT MY BLESSING. KEEP IT UP AND I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE WONDERFUL DELIVERIES AND HEALTHY BABIES. I WILL POST WHEN I GET TO BRING MY BABIES HOME. THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU ALL.

I'm so glad that you posted this! :hug99: I'm very sorry that you had issues that caused you to have them early. I know it's very hard. You are dealing with a lot right now, but I am glad that you reminded everyone how important it is to push past the wall!! It's SO important!!
Make sure you make use of the NICU forum for additional support when you need to, but concentrate on your babies. We'll be here when you need us and have more time.

Try to rest while you can at night! :hug99: Again, best wishes for a short NICU stay!! :hug99:

:icon_eek: reading this has definitely been an eye opener for me. now i feel so selfish for wanting to rush my baby girls out of my body!! i have u, morgan and meagan in my prayers tonight tomorrow and everytime that the thought crosses my mind from this point forward. i can feel the seriousness of the matter in words please do not mistake me for I may seem like I am taking this lighter than many a mother but I have not experienced childbirth before and I can only imagine. I trust your words and I pray for u and ur babies because they deserve a healthy start at life and I jus know in my heart that you carried them well, I am not a very religious person , but my faith in GOD in undeniable and he will do what is best.

I have so much fear right now more than ever since I have been pregnant of complications during the birth, so like I said I can only imagine it really happening but right now I am just afraid. This group will help to keep your spirits up. I have no one to turn to. No one understands. please keep your head up. My heart goes out to you and them. :hug99:
