Every so often

Every now and again I am amazed at all the things kids learn in such a short time. Three months ago my kids had maybe 15-20 words and now they have a name for everything they see and they know most of their letters and numbers. If there's something they don't know they make me come and see it so I can tell them what it is, and they tell each other stories. It's wild! I love watching them figure stuff out. Yesterday I dug up a remote control dog and without even showing them how it works, they were walking the dog a few minutes later and petting it and feeding it. I know all kids are like this, it's just really fun to watch.

 

It is absolutely awesome - and has been my favorite thing about the last year or so. They're constantly blowing me away with what they've learned/figured out.

We're currently transitioning to a "But why mommmy?" phase & I had an epiphany this morning that I think is going to make it easier on me - sometimes, it's okay to say "I don't know". :laughing:

 

Then your kids will turn to you and say, "That's not RIGHT, Mommy!" At least that is the standard response to when I don't know something. I can never win

 

I love this age, it's so much fun watching them learn!!

Rachel wait until they tell you to "Look it up on the computer mommy." everytime you say "I don't know". :lol: That's what I get from my older kids now!

 

And then they turn 7 and insist that you give them your "best guess" when you tell them you don't know something. :laughing:

It is awesome to watch them grow, change, learn, and develop. They are such little people now!
