Off and on since the twins were born I get crazy dreams that they are lost in my blankets somewhere and can't breath so I find myself half asleep turning my bed upside down looking for the babies. Then reality kicks in and I wake up realizing, the babies are in their cribs <_<

those dreams went away for awhile, till last night. I woke up in a panic again thinking DS fell off between the bed and the wall and was stuck

Of course he wasn't, he was sleeping in his crib. My SO said I came out and was talking in my sleep about it.

Crazy nights sometimes, ever get those?

I haven't gotten the crazy dreams so much since the girls have been born, but when I was pregnant I had the most bizarre dreams. I hate the ones that you think are real and you wake up in a panic, those are the worst!

in the beginning i would dream that i fell asleep with one of the babies in my arms, and i'd wake up in a panic. DH had the same dreams too. he'd wake up looking around teh bed saying, "where's teh baby?" lol i still have those every now and then

My totally uneducated theory is that your hormones are still trying to get straightened out, and add too little sleep on top of it, and I think that's why a lot of us have them. I dreamed once that I left a baby on top of the van and drove off. I woke up and had to go check on the girls.

I did in the first few months. I would dream that they fell out of their bouncy seat or swing. I would wake up in a panic!

I have weird dreams about leaving the house to go somewhere (grocery store, work, etc.) and forgetting about the babies and leaving them all alone at home.

OMG- I thought I was the only one. Only its not really a dream I dont think. I would wake up thinking the babies were lost in the covers, saying "Wheres the babies?" and rifle through the blankets looking for them in a panic! I would even get up and ask DH if he wasnt in bed with me. Took a good 5 min for me to figure it out.

During the first couple of months I was asking "where are the babies ?", but it wasn't a dream. I was so tired I would carry one around, put that baby down somewhere and pick up the other one and go to another room. Then I would almost forget which room I left one of the babies in...but they're almost 4 months old now and I know where they both are ! :D

I've had a few of those "where is the baby" dreams, but the worst ones were the ones where I'd dream that I got up out of bed to pee, but hadn't in reality. <_< I guess I just *really* needed my sleep.

Funny you should post this now. I don't have "crazy" dreams usually- but last night I had a dream that my almost four month old DS was talking. Actually speaking words to me. In the dream I was so impressed with how quickly his language developed. :rotflmbo:

Glad I'm not the only one!

In the first week that we were home, I fell asleep during one of a dozen or more night nursing sessions. I was sitting on the couch with a blanket on my lap, and I woke up in a panic. I freaked out first of all that I had fallen asleep, then I thought I had lost one of the babies. I had one in my arms and I started rifling frantically through the blankets to find the other one. It took me a couple of minutes to wake up enough to think to check the pack n play... he was sound asleep right where I had left him!

This happens to me ALL THE TIME!!! Even more so now because I have stopped waking up the sleeping baby (in hopes of her sleeping through the night) when I do nighttime feedings. This leads to me sometimes only getting a half an hour to an hour between waking up (to feed a different baby). So I continually am dreaming that I'm feeding a baby & when I wake up in my room convinced I had a baby in there somewhere!
