Ethan's helmet

    Ethan got his helmet almost a month ago and I am finally posting a picture of him with it on. He has been doing wonderful and I am so happy. Last week we went in for a checkup and measurements. He went from an 11 to a 7 and he had not gotten to wear it much in the begining because it needed to be adjusted and we were out of town. Anyway, we have been so happy with the progress and he had not been bothered by the helmet at all. He only gets upset when we first put it on and when we take it off just because he does not like being messed with it. We are big Penn State fans so we decorated it accordingly. Here is a picture of him and his sister in his helmet and a few others without it on. It only comes off for an hour a day so I have to snap pictures of him without it on.

    Both babies are just adorable! I do think the helmet pic is especially cute, what a sweetie!!!

    He needs a helmet or really it is called a cranial band because he has a flat spot on the back of his head. It is called plagiocephaly. He had a moderate case of it so we decided to use the cranial band after months of repositioning did not seem to be helping at all. He will probably need to wear it for about 2 more months so that as his head grows the helmet allows room for it to grow wear it is needed and not to grow out in the areas it is not needed with the ultimate results of a beautiful round head.

    Yay Ethan! I'm glad he's adjusted so well to it! Your kiddos are just precious and I love the decorations on his helmet! We decorated Jonathan's "Notre Dame style!" :lol:

    How adorable! I have a little cousin (also a twin) that has a helmet, he hates it! So glad to hear that Ethan adjusts to it! That's wonderful..
