My baby boys are here!

At about 7:30 November 4th I started having a lot of pain and pwlvic pressure that was SOOOO much different than my daighter's labor. By about 8:00 I decided we need to at least call the doctor to see what was going on. I called and got the ansewring service who told me that the doctor would call, and of course she did... The wierd thing os, the on call doctor was a girl I graduated High School with! I explained to her that I was not sure if what I was feeling was labor since this felt so different whan when Iwas in laor with my daughter. She said that if the pain I was having started coming to call. At that point I thought it was prettysteady stream of pain and not a contracting typ pain... Pretty much as soon as I hung up I began to notice that although the pain was steady it did ome and go a little so of course I started timing things... I came up with about 4 minutes between each contraction (we are 1 hour from the hospial). At this point I asked my husband to start timing... We did decide they were really only 4 minutes apart so I called the doctor back... She told us to come in, so we started getting my daughter ready to go to her Memier's house and she and my husband had just walked out the door to go and I decided I had to go to the bathroom. I got up, and my ater broke!!! I called my husband on his cell before they got out of the driveway and he came back in and got us all ready to go and drop off. We called the doctor yet again to find out if we would make it to the hospital or if we would have to deliver at a closer hospital, she said that we should make it, but to get there ASAP. So we all got in the car to go drop off our daughter and headed directly t the hospital.

The whole way we were scared that we would not make it, but we did! When we finally got there the doctor was also relieved! We opted early in the pregnanct (although not totally sold on the idea) that we would have a repeat c-sectiom. So they started gtting me ready for the surgery, and I started having second thouts about this, but we did go through with it and it was SOOOOO much easier than my daughters.

I did have trouble with the spinal, it took 7 times before they got it and caused me to become extreemly itchy. The itchyness lasted about 24-36 hours afterward an I thought I was going to go crazy. Other than that everything went really well!

My first baby, Ethan, was born at 1:45am on November 6th. He weighed 6 lbs 13oz and was 19 inches long. Ian was born at 1:46am november 7th weighing 7lbs 10 oz. He was also 19 inches... 2 big boys! They looked sooo small though!

I will try posting pictures later, but have been exhausted and have not uploaded pics online yet!

Hmmm 1:45 & 1:46 AM on the same day... 11/6 yes a typo....

I was 37 weeks 5 days.... I was scheduled to deliver only 2 days later!!! We were lucky to have a basically problem free pregnancy!

Thanks! You bet I am glad they are here! The last 3-4 days were really hard, but worth it with such big healthy little boys! I am praying all of you will have nice healthy babies as well!
