The end of day 3 found us enjoying gourmet pizza, a cold beer for DH, a Cosmopolitan for me and "brown" (chocolate) ice cream for the kiddos (dinner at home...who knows when we will have the nerve to venture out of the house!). I had no idea what to expect for those three intensive days, but it was very draining. The kiddos seemed to settle into the routine of staying in the kitchen and were happy to occupy themselves with less physical activity than normal (they are generally a bundle of energy).

You will see in the tallies below that we had ZERO pee accidents today! :woohoo: :woohoo: We are amazed...I did not think our kiddos would catch on so quickly as they have shown little interest in peeing on the potty before we started. About two weeks ago, I checked out Elmo's Potty Time DVD from the library and they got to watch a little bit with DH each night while I made dinner. We talked a lot about getting to use the potty and wearing underwear during the week leading up to training day.

Per the eBook, we gave them as much juice as they wanted (as evidenced by the huge number of pees that DS had...they were full-sized pees, not just little trickles). Tomorrow we will be back to standard routine of water with a splash of juice. Hopefully with a decrease in the frequency, we will have more confidence in our ability to get out of the house again

I think DD finally got the pooping down...without exaggeration, she visited the potty over 50 times this morning before she finally pooped. It was almost every 30 seconds and DH did his best to keep his cool as he followed her into the bathroom each time. After she finally pooped on the potty, it took fewer attempts before each subsequent poop.

DS had a small poop accident and that was the extent of his pooping today. I am sure we are in for a doozy tomorrow!

    Official tally for Day 3:

DS: 16 pees in the potty, ZERO(!) pee accidents, and 1 small poop accident (I know he has to go...he has been tooting all night)
DD: 8 pees in the potty, ZERO(!) pee accidents, 3 poops in the potty(!!!)

Thanks for all of your support and advice...I will definitely have more questions in the next few days as I did not really think about what happens AFTER they are using the bathroom :)
