End in sight!

So today I'm 35wks and have been in the hospital for 13wks!!! And the best news is that I'm going home on Wednesday!!!!! :banana: :banana:

I was told yesterday to start getting up a few times a day. (Last week I got wheelchair time- everyday for a few minutes, so that was really nice too!) Now the doctors want me to slowly increase my activity to see how things go. I think I'll probably contract more, but we're going to watch it for a few days. Then next week they'll take me off the Procardia and take my cerclage out. After that it's up to the babies! (Or when I hit 37wks- then it's up to the doctors!) I just can't believe that I'm almost done! And I'm beyond happy and blessed to have made it this far. No one, even the doctors, thought I'd go this long.

I just wanted to share my happy news! After so long in the hospital, it's going to be amazing to be home! Even if it's just for a few days before the babies come.

Oh wow, CONGRATULATIONS!! You've made it so far and spent so much time in the hospital. It has to feel so good to get to go home. It sure did for me and I only spent 4 weeks in the hospital.

WooHoo!! It's great to see the light at the end of the tunnel (and it isn't a train!)! I'm so happy for you! I don't know how you do it (being on bedrest). It's just something you gotta do for the sake of the kids. :bow2: My :hi: (hats) off to you!

YAY!! Congrats- I was so happy to come home after 10 days, I can only imagine after 13 weeks!!! It will be good to get reaquainted with your house before the babies come!!!

 

Yay!! Great job!! Now you get to wait and see if in an ironic twist you make it to 39 weeks and are begging the docs to take the babies out!! LOL! Seems like that happens occasionally! Hope all goes well and you get to enjoy a week or two at home and then a smooth delivery!

That is just the best news. Seriously, I have a big fat grin on my face for YOU and your family.

Try to enjoy these last few days (hey, maybe even weeks!) at home. I know when I came home after my hospital bedrest (just over three weeks), it was hard not to obsess about all the things that needed to get done. And it was hard not to harp on DH about all the things that he let slide while I was gone (dust bunnies on the hardwood floor, soap scum on the shower walls, etc.). But just enjoy this time and celebrate all that you have gone though to get to this point.

Oh, I'm so happy for you! As someone who has spent weeks in a hospital on BR for DD1, I really empathize. I can't believe you made it 13 wks!! Awesome news. Now we'll anxiously await your birth story
