Empty Sac & Blighted Ovum!

I went in for my second transvaginal ultrasound today. We are at 8 1/2 weeks. Still no heartbeats, but the doctor is optimistic that the larger sac will soon show a baby! Last week it appeared to be empty, but this week there was a slight indication of a fetal pole but no heartbeat yet. It was also slightly larger than last week but currently measuring at about 6 weeks. The smaller sac still isn't showing anything. They are saying it is a blighted ovum (fertilized embryo that has not implanted). They are still saying that it will probably *vanish* by my next appt. in 2 weeks, but there is no way to know for sure. In 2 weeks we are sure hoping to hear at least one heartbeat. In the mean time I am still feeling very pregnant. This is so frustrating!

I can't imagine having to sit on pins and needles waiting for an answer. I'm sorry to hear about the blighted ovum. I hope your other sac shows a heartbeat next time you go in!
