eggs

I thought I remember reading a thread about eggs before, but I searched and nothing came up.
So...when did you or when do you plan on giving eggs?

 

My boys love eggs. Ped gave us the go ahead at 9 months, the whole egg.

 

Ditto. Some pedis don't give you the go-ahead until 1 year on the whites I think. Mine said current research indicated they were fine at 9 months.

 

I think we started eggs around 1 year old.

 

We were always told 1 year for eggs but I know some doctors give the okay earlier.

 

I scrambled just the yolk at 9 months. Will probably wait until 1 to use the whole egg, but maybe not....?

 

I did the same. I did not gave them the whole egg until 12 months.

 

We waited until they were over a year.

 

Just had their 9 mos Ped appt and the Doc said i can give them ONLY the Yolk, not the whites at this point. I asked about hard boiled eggs and he said still only the Yolk, like PP said some docs say OK for the whole egg, but i am sticking with what my Pedi says..Although i havent tried the egg yolk yet, i will...

 

I gave them egg yolks at like 9 months, but waited on egg whites until 1 year. But then again, I gave them pancakes and waffles which have egg whites in them.... ardon:
