Ditto Aveeno. I really like it!

The doctor gave us some heavy duty stuff (I'll look to see what it is when I get home) for when the dryness goes too far for an over the counter. Using the Aveeno this year, I haven't had to touch the other cream!

The aveeno eczema cream is good, aquaphor is a great moisterizer, you can get a cheap over the counter cortisone if it is looking red and inflamed called Cortate, it's fairly cheap too, should only be about $3.00 a tube. As for when to out it on, after baths, before bed, when they get up. Typically it should be put on 2-3 times a day.

I have had good luck with Eucerin in the tub. It is thick, but not greasy and works well.

I have eczema and use the baby Aveeno cream for myself, too. I also have a steroid cream I use when things get really bad, but the Aveeno cream is what I use daily.

Unfortunately, my DD with worst eczema of my 3 kids can't use the ones listed above. It makes her eczema worse. We've had the best luck with Vanicream. It's really thick, fragrance free, lanolin free and free of a bunch of other stuff. Her asthma/allergy Dr. recommended it and it's been great. When it does get flared up, we use a steroid prescription.

Oh I have to rave about this cream called MooGoo - MooGoo it's made from full cream milk (they initially used it on cow udders!) - it has done wonders for my girls especially Liara's - it's quite expensive but so worth it not to use cortisone (which I only do if it's really red and sore but I haven't had to use it for more than 2 weeks now since I switched to their MSM cream) - they do a whole range of stuff, I use their Milk Wash and their scalp cream and eczema/psorasis cream but I found their MSM the best - it's has sulphur in it which has wonderful healing properties for skin.

I can't rave enough about it, I'm even a fan on facebook - they're also bringing out a suncreen which I'm going to buy when my chemist receives it.

I put it on in the mornings, after a bath and also every nappy change if it's in close reach!

DD gets flare ups where the skin sometimes opens up and bleeds so her dermatologist recommended CeraVe cream. It is a little pricey, but within 3-4 applications her skin is back to "normal". I get it sent on Amazon's subscription program for free shipping and 15% off every 2 months. The Aveeno and others mentioned helps, but nothing has worked like the CeraVe for quick and lasting relief.

Oh only the MSM soothing cream has sulphur - the rest don't!

Take some time to have a look at their website - they're very big on detailing ALL their ingredients including the inactive ones! www.moogoo.com.au
