Having trouble getting one little girl to eat solids. She had been doing fine, but all of the sudden she doesn't want it. Having trouble giving her the bottle sometimes too.. help

Solids is all for practice right now, so if she isn't into it you don't need to feel pressure to do it every day. As for the bottles, have you tried a faster flow nipple? This seemed to work when my girls would just randomly reduce the amount they drank or when they would get frustrated at bottle time. GL!

Maybe she is getting a tooth. Mine did not want to eat all the time and I had some struggles with bottles around then too. What are you feeding her? Maybe she doesnt like it. Have you tried giving a bottle in the nursery where there is less stimulation? Or you can try a faster flow nipple-maybe she is frustrated with the slower one. That might help too.

I agree with pp, maybe she is getting a tooth in or maybe she isn't feeling well. Have you changed the types of food that you're feeding them? For solids, that could be the culprit too.

One of my girls has no interest in eating when she is teething. Any temp or rash or fussiness?

Hope it passes soon!! Its totally frsutrating when they dont eat!

Thank you...she has been teething for a little while now. Don't feel anything coming in but that might be it. The food is the same. On med. flow nipple, guess i will try fast flow then..Thanks again!

I found my one girl had a really hard time with teeth and I had to give her tylenol every 4 hours or 6 hours depending. Plus a good teething gel. Just don't give the teething gel before feeding -- a bit of choke risk. My girls liked yogurt right from the fridge -- since it was cold and that helped. Other cold fruit or veg would do the same.
