    hi,
i thought there was a sticky re: schedules by age, but I can't find it anymore, so I'll ask the group - how do you handle solids and bottles at 10 months.

Here is what we do and it doesn't seem to be working because they aren't sleeping through the night:

6amish - wake up, first bottle
8amish - breakfast - cereal, yogurt, fruit (all mixed together - usually a few tbls of cereal/yogurt and one stage 2 jar)
    8:15 - nap
    10amish - wake up
12noon - Lunch (nanny does this)
    1:30 - 2nd bottle
    2pm nap
    4pm dinner (nanny does this)
6pm snack (usually a jar of baby food_
    6:45 bottle
    7pm bed

Then, Becca sometimes wakes up before midnight for 5-6 ounces of milk. I know it's because she isn't getting enough during the day. Jake varies.

THIS IS SO HARD! Because i know they are capable of sleeping through the night, but we are just incapable of feeding them!

    thanks..

my girls were never big eaters when they first wake up...

8 am - breakfast - cereal and fruit or yogurt and fruit
    11am - bottle - 8 oz
12:30 ish - lunch - varies - sandwich, mac and cheese, etc.
    4pm - bottle - 8 oz
6pm - dinner - varies - meat and veggies, macaroni, beans and veggies, etc.
    8 Pm - bottle - 8oz
    8:30 - bed

my girls always sleep through the night. When we turn 11 months we are going to drop the 4pm bottle and add a sippy of milk...

I think I might be in the minority on this, but since the boys turned about 6 months, I've got them on a three meals a day type routine and we do bottles at those mealtimes and then a "snack bottle."

    7 a.m. breakfast (usually yogurt, a fruit and 6 1/2 ozbottle)
    9 a.m. nap
11 or 11:30 a.m. lunch (usually a veggie, a fruit, 4 oz. bottle and then some finger food like cheese, bread etc)
    1 p.m. nap
    3 p.m. snack - just a bottle (8 oz)
6:15 p.m. dinner - Stage 3 dinner, veggie and diluted juice

We're very close to this. It's so much easier for us to do three meals and a snack, and do bottles at the same time as solids. Our boys still get 4 bottles, and they don't seem ready to give one up yet. Although they're almost 10 months actual, they're still only 7.5 months adjusted...so we tend to follow guidelines for somewhere in the middle and it works. They sleep 12 hours, no night wakings! Here's our full schedule:

    7:00 - wake up
7:30 - breakfast: 7 oz. bottle, cereal, maybe share a jar of fruit if they're still hungry
    9:00 - nap
11:00 - lunch: 7 oz. bottle, share a jar of fruit or veggie, sometimes share another jar if they're still hungry
    1:00 - nap
3:00 - snack: 7 oz. bottle, some puffs, diluted juice from sippies (which they're still not very good at, but we're trying)
6:00 - dinner: 7 oz. bottle, a jar of some meat/veggie combo each, maybe share another jar of fruit/veggie if they're still hungry
    7:00 - bedtime

    Good luck!

My only suggestion is that when she wakes to feed, give her less and less each time. So give her 5 ounces for a few nights, then 4 ounces a few nights, etc. This is what we did with Lilly. I think because Becca's system knows it can get those ounces when it wants to , there's no effort to take more ounces during the day....

Also, if they finish their 6:45 bottles, offer them a few more ounces....that's what we do...fill 'em up!

    Ours is

6:30 wake and 8 oz. bottle
    8:15 breakfast-fruit and cereal
11:30 lunch-veggies, fruits, sippie with about 3oz formula
    3:30 6oz bottle
5 dinner meats, veggie, fruit sippie with water or dilute juice
6:30 bed and 7 oz. bottle

We do our solids and bottles at separate times. It does feel like someone is always eating. I feel like I am always cramming food at them from 3:30 on but they want it.

7-8 wake and 8 oz. bottle (wake up varies)
    8:15 breakfast-fruit and cereal
11:00 Sometimes a bottle depends on the day and if they drink it might be 4-8oz
    12: lunch-veggies, fruits
    3-4 6oz-8oz bottle
    5 dinner meats, veggie, fruit
6:30 bed and 6-8 oz. bottle

Some afternoons they may have a snack of applesauce or cheerios/puffs depending if they are cranky and hungry

    Here's ours for now:
6:30 wake and immediately breast feed
7:30 breakfast of cereal & fruit or pancakes with fruit inside (this is a new one and they love it)
8:30-8:45 nap for about 1.5 hours
11:00 bottle (from nanny usually 7- 8 oz)
noon lunch (veg, meat or other protein)
1:15 nap for about 1.5 hours
3 pm bottle (with nanny usually 7-8 oz)
5 pm dinner (yogurt, veg, fruit, grain)
    6:30 breast feed
    7:00 bed

They are finally sleeping through the night but when they wake up they are starving. So I think I need to add in another snack as well.

Thank you all for your input. We moved their dinner to 5:30 last night...they went down around 7:15, both woke up at midnight (gave H20), then jake got up at 4am, gave him 4 ounces (he wouldnt' take water) and then both up at 6;45...

here's hoping tonight goes even better.

We still have it! It's in the FY Handbook sticky. We combined all of the stickies and created Wiki articles out of most of them.
