I don't remember feeling this way with the twins...but this time around is yucky. EVERY TIME I put something into my mouth, I just feel miserable the entire rest of the day. I'm starting to feel like I'm in my first trimester again. THe first trimester was all the nausea after I ate...well, this time it's just bloated, bad acid reflux and heartburn and I just dread eating another meal. Of course, I'm still eating and trying to get in smaller meals throughout the day, but I can tell I've never had a normal pregnancy...it's like I don't know what to expect...lol!

Anyone else feel this way after they eat? I think I'm going to ask my dr. on Tuesday abouat the reflux and heartburn...it's not something that Maalox or Tums will even touch...ugh!

I had really bad reflux with the twins...and a moderately with my first pg and 3rd pg. I always found that whole milk helped. That and vanilla ice cream. Anything chocolate or greasy set it off really bad. And definitely anything citrusy. It's no consolation, but for many women bad reflux during pg IS normal!! This time around the heartburn has carried into post-partum a bit for me. I'm really hoping it's hormonal and that after week 6pp that it goes away!

My first pregnancy symptom is heartburn. With the twins I had heartburn before I got a positive pregnancy test, and it stayed with me until I delivered. I lived on Zantac and Tums. I had it for all 3 pregnancies and to me it is "normal". You can safely use the OTC Zantac (or generic version). With DD I just suffered until it was so bad I finally said something to the NP, and she told me I shouldn't have suffered in silence for so long.

I've heard of this happening... but fortunately it didn't happen to me. I ate like a horse, lol

It started with me a few weeks ago. I remember it happening with the twins, but it wasn't until later in the pregnancy. The only thing that ever helps with my heartburn is taking a swig of half anf half. Let us know what the doc thinks. I hope it gets better for you. Its miserable.

With the twins, I lived on Zantac and Mylanta. I took it religiously and it helped a lot. With this pregnancy, it's already starting and I take Zantac before bed every night.
