Easton Asher

July 21 was eviction day! We arrived at the hospital at 8:15am our surgery was scheduled for 10:15! I was so excited and so nervous!! As soon as we arrived at the hospital, my wonderful nurse Amelia took me to my room and began prepping me for surgery! she started with and NST and ultrasound. I was having tons of contractions because I had not had any water since 10pm the night before and my uterus was protesting! The baby was doing great and the ultrasound proved that he was head down! Then Amelia put my urinary catheter in and boy that burned! it was the worst part of the whole thing! after that I had to walk to the OR! I was really worried about the spinal block, I LOVE a back scratch but HATE to be touched on the back - it gives me the shivers like scratching a chalkboard! When it came down to it it was easy! and done in a flash! Then to the Jesus position I went - arms out! his time they did not strap m arms down my OB just told me not to help! NO PROBLEM! I was so nervous! it seemed to take forever - probably because I had gained a TON of weight plus scar tissue from the twins! and then the most glorious sound in the whole world! Easton Asher made his grand entrance screaming at 10:55 am weighing in at 8 pounds 3 ounces! Our biggest baby! He came out very hungry and rooting on daddy! It was incredible! this hospital let Easton and daddy stay right beside me the entire time I was being sewn up and they wanted me to hold him in my bed on the way back to my room but I felt a little weak so daddy carried him! We are so in love with this little boy!

I tried to post more pics but it would not let me! That is Easton in my avatar! the white spots are what happened when I edited the size of the pic! I have no clue why!

Oh you guys! He is so perfect!! Thank you all!! I could not have ordered a better baby!! He sleeps great, he eats great, he stares at me when he is awake and he is just so sweet!! He lost down to 7 pounds 10 ounces in the hospital when the home nurse came at 4 days he was up to 8 pounds and when we took him to the pediatrician at 8 days he was up to 8 pounds 5 ounces. He is exclusively breastfed so it makes me so happy!!

Magnificent Heather, how wonderful to read your post and hear that everything went so well and that Easton (love that name!) is doing just what he's supposed to ie. adore his Mom!!
