We did them for our girls last year. They were 6 months old. We got them sunglasses, a couple of small books, one or two small toys, that's about it.

We are doing a small basket for our twins who will be 2-1/2 weeks old on Easter. We are doing a small toy and an outfit for them. It will be fun for our older sons to find a basket for the babies.

My boys were 4 months old also for their first Easter they had a Easter basket shaped like a truck so the back was fairly small and what I did was got them a few books from the dollar store shapes, numbers, colors, animals and it was really cute. My mom gave them each a basket with onsies, one piece short rompers, pj's, a rattle, socks. So really for me I wanted to have something for them, some pictures, etc. but I only spent about $25 total.

I was going to ignore it, but then my mom sent me a whole basket for my 3 month old 8 years ago. She, of course, was in OUR bed by easter morning and we gave her the basket and I took pictures. Now, I look back, and those are wonderful memories for DH and I. Do it! (chew toys and clothes!)

We are a little older but the first year is for memories and pictures even if they don't understand. I probably spent $10 total on both together. Books, duck, bubbles to look at, new sippies. They also have new outfits for church.
