The babies are going to be in the pool most of the weekend and it didn't even cross my mind to put that ear dough I used as a kid in their ears. Maybe if they were going underwater. But very minimal water will get in their ears; probably just from splashing.

My mom is convinced they need something though.

    What do you ladies think?

I use the swimmers ear drops for mine when they do a lot of swimming. Elizabeth does have to wear plugs & a band b/c she has tubes though. The older kids just get the drops. You can make them yourself too!

    Here is the recipe:

    Ingredients
    1 fluid ounce vinegar
    1 fluid ounce rubbing alcohol

    Directions:
    1) Mix the vinegar and alcohol in a small dropper bottle.
    2) After swimming or bathing, dry the ears well and add a few drops to each canal.
    3) Remember, don't put anything into your ear canal smaller than your elbow (especially cotton swabs)!

I haven't ever used ear plugs with my kids... besides if I did they would just pull them out anyway.

My kids have only worn plugs when they had their tubes in.

We don't use the drops either.
