Rachel is doing well on the potty and has been for 3 months. now she has stomach flu and has "the runs". After her not making it (she thinks she only has gas?), I've put a diaper on her. it's going up her back. she will still go sit on the potty. I just cant handle washing the BM out of her panties anymore. Am I going to regret putting her in diapers while she is sick. anyone else do this if they started training early. Meanwhile, Alexis has decided to start going on the potty. So I don't want to have one making a mess b/c she's training and one making a mess because she's sick ....

oh you poor thing, I hope Rachel get better, and quickly.

I would have no idea what to do, I cant imagine starting potty training yet, although i would love to, with bub number 3 almost here it would be easier.

Just keep an eye on her, teach her that even when she has has gas that its time to run to the potty.

dont give up, the bug will be gone soon and everything will be back to normal.

I would be pretty surprised if your little one regresses just because you put her in nappies while she has a stomach bug. I'd do whatever saves your sanity. And of course you need to stay well, too - the less you have to handle poo, obviously, the less likely that you'll get your kids' bug. I got the last tummy bug my kids had and I tell you what, it was absolutely debilitating for a couple of days. My mum had to come look after us!

    Good luck.
