I have heard many different opinions from doctors about piercing my girls ears..

I want to pierce it now that they are two months.. Can I hear some opinions of moms that did it and maybe some pros and cons...

I don't know what to do and I want to pierce their ears REALLY bad!! =)

My girls aren't pierced yet, but I thought I heard that you have to wait until they are three months. I have also heard that a good amount of pedi offices will do it.

I haven't pierced my girls ears yet. One of my girlfriend's pierced her daughter's ears at around 4 months old without any problems. For me I just figure I will wait until they are old enough to ask for it.

I got my girls pierced after their 6mo appt (3rd dose of tetanus shot). I have not had any problems with them, no infection, no tugging and only once or twice was one interested in the other's earrings but was easily distracted with a toy.
I love them they look so freaking cute!!

Mine were about 6 months too. I wanted to since they were reall little like you but I held off. They did really well and we love them! Be prepared though, some people make bad comments as if you are mean. I just let them roll of my back.

I used to be a manager at Claires Acc. I have pierced 100's of ears if not 1000's. A lot of them babies, the earliest you can get their ears pierced is 2 months, after their first round of vaccines. I strongly suggest that if you plan on getting them pierced at a place in the mall (such as Claires or the Icing) you call ahead and speak to the store manager, ask them who their best TWO baby pierces are and when they will both be working. You should have both done at the same time, but that's your call. Claires is very clean, and if you decide not to call, go on a Saturday, not during the week. They will be busier but that means they usually have someone who has been piercing for awhile and not someone training. I also suggest that you go for the 14k gold, less allergies.
I've been contemplating getting my daughters ears pierced but she doesn't have very big ear-lobes... so we'll see :) I hope this helps and if you have any questions about procedures or care after feel free to ask me.
If you do get them pierced I'm sure we'd all love to see pictures!!

Our pedi office does it. My husband and I decided not to do it so as to give that decision to the girls when they get older. Getting my ears pierced was one of my fondest memories as a child and I wanted my girls to have the opportunity to make that decision.

I had my daughters ears pierced when she was 3 months old. I have no cons to share about our experience. She cried for about 2.3 seconds and that was it. She was too young to touch them, so it was easy for me to clean them and turn them daily. They never bothered her at all. Good luck if you decide to get them done, and don't forget to post pics!! :D

We had Elizabeth done at Claires right after their first tetanus shot at 2 month. It was quick and simple. Elizabeth hardly even noticed. She fussed for a few seconds between ears and that was really it. She has had no problems with them and is only now even noticing she has them. She doesnt pull on them or anything though. Thomas did not notice she had them either.

I would highly recommend Claires to anyone. At least the Claires we went to!

We had DD's done at the pedi office. She recommended waiting to 4 months so that if her ears grew it wouldn't mess up the position. We did and she was fine..cried for 2 seconds and was over it. She did squirm so much and one is a little out more towards the edge so I will wait until she is a year and then get that one redone.

So pros...they get over it quick, it is easier to clean and manage and they get used to them and don't mess with them (until sibling discovers them..LOL)
    Cons: not sure

I got my DD's ears pierced around 4 1/2 months.
I was planning on her daddy piercing them cause he was a tattoo artist/piercer but for obvious reasons that didn't happen! Half of my piercings were done by my SO who I would trust with anything!!!
But I have also had a couple things done by this old asian lady (she's a walking anomaly.)
Any who...I took DD to her. And they are perfect :) Just make sure you get surgical steel! It's the best for the first few months
OH and she doesn't even touch them!
