I bath my kids every night, and I shampoo their hair everyday (with a natural shampoo as my DD has quite sensitive skin) and do a quick (about 5 seconds) rub down of their bodies, and of course if any place looks really dirty we spend time scrubbing, but for the most part I just let them sit in there and play and get clean that way. Am, I missing out - do I need to be scrubbing them down?

Sounds like you are already scrubbing them way more than I do mine, so I would think you are doing great! My two don't get a bath every single day, but when they do I wash their hair then give them a bit of liquid soap & let them wash their own bodies. In the summer, when their feet tend to get really dirty I will sometimes scrub those myself.

We just have "scrub" day every other day which includes hair washing. We do bathtime every day since it gives me a chance to get everything ready for bedtime or do a quick load of dishes. My husband does bathtime which is wonderful.

On non scrub days they just play.

yeah, probably you don't need to scrub every day... but then I sometimes feel behind their ears and realize I do need to scrub more often - LOL!

lately we've been going swimming at the gym, so I just wash off in the gym shower with the liquid body wash and horrible water pressure... when we're home we do a bit better of a job.

I don't really scrub my two year old unless I see something caked on :) Other than behind the ears... he does seem to get stuff back there.

I don't scrub either, except the other day, after playing outside in the color bubbles, then in the sprinkler, they had colorful MUD from head to toe....that required some scrubbage!

I also don't scrub unless they are especially dirty from playing outside.

I always scrub the twins. But, one has eczema and needs the dry skin exfoliated. I don't really "scrub" just wash. BUT, we don't bathe them every day either. Jesse's skin doesn't do as well with being washed daily.

You are doing MUCH more then us! We take 3 baths a week and scrub when needed. I've always heard it's not good to wash hair more then every other day :pardon: But knowing how much mine love baths, they would LOVE your house! :)

We do baths every other day or on those days if they are extremely dirty. The only time I actually scrub them down is when they are just really nasty, the other times I just do a quick run over their bodies with a soapy washcloth.

We do baths every day on the recommendation of Nate's allergist (Nate has eczema so we were told to keep his skin as moist as possible). But I don't scrub or even really soap them up unless they're particularly dirty. :pardon: I'll throw some baby shampoo in there for bubbles occasionally, and I will wash their hair every other day (letting the soap run down their bodies), but some days it's just 2 boys in a tub of water. I call it Twin Boy Soup!!

We generally aim for baths every other day. I don't really "scrub" them unless they have really gotten into something (like stamps or permanent markers that refuse to come off), but I use a "poof" on them and sudz it up and wash them down every time.

We bathe every other day. I scrub (well, wipe really) faces, ears, and bottoms and don't wipe or scrub anything else unless I can see filth.

Thanks all! I had no idea that I seem to be in the minority by bathing them daily. I guess I never thought of anything else, as I was always bathed every night as a child, so I automatically did it with my kids. I have this idea that they should be as clean as possible when going to bed (unless of course it was a late day activity and I dont have the time or energy to do baths - then I skip them for sure).
I rarely even run a wash cloth over my kids unless they "look" dirty somewhere, but on the advice of one of the pp I did wash behind their ears yesterday for the first time ever! Thanks!! : )

You're already scrubbing a lot more than I do. My girls get a bath 3-4 times a week, and I wash their hair only once a week. It actually stays nicer the less I wash it. I hand them washcloths and tell them to scrub most times that they're in the bath, but I probably only scrub them once a week... or if they're really dirty.
