Is it really possible for her to pee this much??? I swear every time i change a diaper its so full thats shes peeing through it. It can be a matter of only 2 hours and shes doing it!!! Im going nuts with this, i dont mind going through alot of diapers but i cant keep up with her!! Not to mention shes getting really raw from it, should i just start waking her up every hour ot change her diaper or could she have something wrong??? I dont remember either of my older two doing this, and caihlen doesnt either just her.

My DS is like that, I can't believe how much that kids goes. I went up to a bigger size diaper and it helps. He pees so much though that a Huggies overnight sometimes leaks after only being on 8-9 hours at night.

I wouldn't wake her every hour to change her. I would maybe double up on diapers or go up a size and put a layer of vaseline to protect her skin from the pee?

It sounds like you need to up a diaper size and use some good butt rash cream. I prefer Beaudreaux's Butt Paste.

I dont think size 2 will fit her. I moved up to size one because of it thinking that. She doesnt even weigh 8 pounds yet so theres really no way a size two would fit would it???

I cant really afford to go out and buy size 2 right now when i have plenty of ones, for it to be too big.

What brand diaper are you using?

At that age, mine peed constantly and I loved swaddlers. It was easy to tell when they were wet, but I never had leaking problems. They also make a size 1-2 (can be found at Walmart and Sam's Club) which may help some.

ok this is nutz.. but i used to put a hand towel, dish towel under my kids so i would only have to change their sheet every other time:) lol..that being said.. i now wish i was changing smaller sheets and not full size beds..

    good luck.

I found these things called Diaper Doublers and they look like giant maxi pads without the adhesive. I put one in the boys diapers at night and they are FANTASTIC!!! I can only find them at Food Lion, but I swear I saw them either at Publix or Target also. I keep forgetting to look when I am there. I go to Food Lion like once at month and buy every pack I can. In a pinch, though, you could probably use some leftover pads from your post partem days!!!

You could try diaper doublers. BRU sells them and I've also seen them at the grocery store. I've never tried them, but I know others that have. Also some diapers come in size 1-2 (I know pampers swaddlers do). Thats something else to try.

I'd change her only if she is already waking up to eat. All of my kids peed a lot at that age and leaked through diapers. Doubling up the diapers helps a lot. The outside diaper doesn't even get wet so you can use it again. Also put on a lot of rash cream since the pee and diaper combination is bothering her skin.
