Any suggestion on how to get it to keep his diaper on at night? :headbang:

Have you tried a onsie or PJs backwards?

How is he getting out of it? Is he pulling it down his legs like underwear or is he ripping it off of his waist? If he's pulling them down, try footed pajamas or even footed pajamas on backwards (minus the feet of course.) If he's ripping them off at the waist, try Scotch Satin Tape, it's very hard to pick off because of how smooth it is, and it's pretty strong. We used to use two pieces going across the front of the nighttime diaper, not overlapping each other, just next to each other.

Try having him use the toilet before bed. My boys would take their diapers off at bedtime because they had to pee and didn't want to wear a wet diaper all night. It's logical from a toddler's perspective and it got downright nasty when they needed to poop. They were amazingly persistent and were rather like Houdini with their ability to escape from taped diapers, backward pajamas, snaps, buttons, etc. Potty training solved the problem rather than battling symptoms. Just my 2 cents.

Cut out the feet to the jammies and put them on backwards. It's the only way that I KNEW they couldn't get out of it. I don't have to do that as much anymore, now we just layer and it seems they get tired of removing stuff after about 2-3 layers. Good luck!

We don't have feetie PJs and I really don't want to spend more money in PJs :( I'd potty train but he doesn't even get that potties are for peeing... It's been too hot for layers too... and he can get onesies off as well, lol. I'm at a loss!!!

Have you tried putting his diaper or the onesie on backwards?? I googled this issue because one of my boys started to be a little houdini at it as well. We "solved" the issue right now with just not putting him in zippered pjs. He can't figure out how to take pants off yet and when he does we'll have to move onto something else .... <_<

We did big sleep sacs (sleeveless) inside out and backwards, even in the summer. We just didn't use any clothes underneath or just a onesie.

Yeah sleep sacks could work but I don't really want to go back to them (they still use some as lovies but don't wear them anymore).

I'm thinking that we might just have to move them to twin beds earlier than I thought... I don't think taking his diaper off would be in his mind if we did, lol. He can run around in his diaper all day and never take it off, I don't get it!

I have a friend who dd used to do finger painting on the walls in the middle of the night. (Not with paint! :bad: ) The only thing that worked was to duct tape the diaper AND footsie PJ's backwards (with feet cut off).

    Good luck.
