DS question

I am thinking about getting dd a DS Lite for Christmas this year but I don't know if it's too old for her still. She has a Leapster but is a little bored with it and her BFF is getting one for Christmas and they always have to have the same thing. Any input is appreciated. She's 6.

 

My boys got their DS's last Hanukkah when they were 6 1/2, so more or less the same age as your DD. She should be fine with it. There are plenty of games for her to play.

 

Alyssa and Bryony got their own DS's last christmas (4 months before they turned 6) and they did fine with them. Naomi and Luke don't have their own but they have a couple of games which they play on their mums DS. I think she would be fine with it, there are lots of games made for younger children. Some of the favourites here are nintendogs, littlest pet shop, disney princesses and junior brain training.

 

Isabel just got one last month and she's just 6.5 now. She's been able to figure out quite a few games. Right now, she's loving the Littlest Pet Shop game. I also like that you can do the gameboy advance games and we picked up a few of those at the used game store for like $12 each.

 

She will be fine with it

 

I am pretty sure that was the age the boys got them too. Go for it.

 

She should be fine. My boys got theirs 2 months before they turned 6.

 

All 3 of mine have one. We got the twins one last easter and they were 5. LOTS of games are age appropriate.

 

Ally got hers last month, and she'll be 7 in November. Her favorite games are Mario Kart and Mario Party.

 

6 is a good age for it.
