DD2 has a dry cough that kept her up most of last night. We've got the humidifier going in the room, but I don't know what else to do. Any advice?

    Honey? Benedryl?

Have you called the pediatrician yet? Dry coughs are usually (in our case) a sign of post-nasal drip, and will probably turn into a full-fledged cold with an eventual productive cough.

Honey definitely works as a soother and if she's drippy benedryl should help also. I also keep a sippy of water in the crib which seems to help when they wake up
