There is no point to this story, but I wanted to sahre anyway. My girls have their 6 month appointments tomorrow. The receptionist called and said she was confirming Cassidy's appointment for the mornig at 10:15. 15 seconds later she called and said she was confirming Chloe's appointment for 10:30. Sorry, but duh!

They always do that to us, too. It is funny when they hear your voice again and have that split second of hesitation where they wonder if they dialed the wrong number for the wrong patient.

:rotflmbo: When I call to make my girls pedi appointments, they ask me all the questions for Amelia like DOB, my phone number, my insurance - and then they ask me the exact same questions a 2nd time for Lily....it's exactly the same!!

Our Dr.'s office has an automated reminder system. It calls us once, and while I'm listening to the message, it calls again in my call waiting! I always have one to delete off my voicemail.

We just had this happen last week when our eye doctor's office called to remind us of our appt. The receptionist said "Hi, I'm calling to remind you of Finley's appt. at 10:30". I said "Ok" - waiting for her to go on about Sullivan. When she didn't, I said "And Sullivan's appt. is at 11:00, correct?" And she said, "Oh, I didn't even realize that there were 2 at this number!". It was pretty funny. Our ped's office always calls to remind us of both appt's using just one phone call. I guess they are really on top of things! :)

This is exactly what happens to us too. To the OP- you'd think with a person on the phone though, they'd see the same last name, same DOB and same phone number and would put it together.

 That's funny. I guess my office knows us all well, so that wouldn't happen here.

Mine has done that too. The first time it was like hello, it is the number you just dialed and the same last name. Now I just laugh at how weird people can be.
