I'm not asking as a mom, but as a babysitter. LOL! I watch my best friends daughter three days a week. This week she was dropped off early-so 8 am. Otherwise, it's 9am. She leaves at 4:30pm or so.

Her nap was around 9:30am, but she probably didn't fall asleep until 10/10:30am and woke at 11:30 am. I waited and waited to put her down. It is now 3, and she's still up(I put her down at 2). She shares the room with my daughter-who is currently sleeping. I'm starting to wonder, if maybe a transition should be made to one nap? My kids were older when we did this, but I know some kids are younger. So I went to put her down at 2-and she's still up at 3.

Would you maybe try the transition, or ride it out? I honestly have her go down when my three go down. She really dictates what time my kids take a nap! It was one for them-but with her taking two-it's been pushed back to 2 or later!

My daughter dropped down to one nap when she was about that age. Now she sleeps from like 1130-130, if I'm very lucky lol. Otherwise it's about an hour and half. But she's definitely at the age when a lot of kids drop down to one nap a day.

Mine were 13 months when I started noticing that S was fighting it. At 14 months I gave in and went to 1 nap. O would have done 2 naps much longer, though. :)

    How old is F, again?

I gave up after 90 minutes. LOL! I told her father she might be ready to drop to one nap. I'm not sure what happens the other four days. But usually, whatever I say, goes. ;) LOL!

And Michelle-she just turned 13 months on the 21st. :)

That is around the age that my boys started fighting one nap. They would take forever to fall asleep in the morning, then sleep maybe an hour, which messed up the afternoon nap and bedtime, etc. After three days in a row of them playing for 90 minutes in the morning and not sleeping at all, I switched them to 1 nap, which was right around 14 months. The first month or so was rough (falling asleep in their lunch, etc.), but they adjusted soon enough, and actually started taking one longer nap rather than two 45 minute cat-naps.

I wanna say this was about the time that my 2 started trying to drop that morning nap. We finally just adjusted. They are up between 7:30 and 8 down at 11 and back up at between 1:30 and 2. There are days when they will crash at like 5 and sleep for 30 or 45 minutes but still manage to go to bed on time. I love those days lol because momma can fix super without little people tearing at me.

We dropped to one nap around 13-14 months.

We went to one nap around 13 months too, but it was an early nap with a snack before and lunch afterwards. So you might have her napping 11am - 1 pm with lunch afterwards and the older ones having lunch around 12 and napping or having quiet time from 1 pm onwards. I am not sure that would make your days easier?
