dropping the bedtime bottle

our LOs are 20 months and we really are very nervous to drop the bottle after their baths. they get out of the bath, run to the couch and whine until they get their milk. our LOs dont drink milk; they drink rice milk so i know there is no nutritional value to them even needing it.

i cant just stop....im thinkning of going to a sippy of milk? not sure? very stressed and nervous, lol?

 

We switched our guys from a bedtime bottle to a bedtime sippy at about 13 months and they didn't even turn a hair. I'm always nervous to tweak the bedtime ritual (if it's not broken, don't fix it!), but they honestly could have cared less. ardon:

If your LOs are drinking well from sippies, then I'd say just go for it! You'll probably be pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.

Same thing for us, expect we did it right at a year - they didn't even seem to notice the difference!

I agree. We switched from bottles to sippies when we dropped bottles at 15 months and our two did not miss a beat at bedtime. Good luck!
