    Hi,

Well, it's been a few days now of my little protesters not wanting to take their morning nap. My DS is the culprit! He'll stand up in his crib and squeel until DD gets up to chat at the fence!

Anyone else drop the morning nap? Isn't it too early?

I don't know about my LOs, but I sure am not ready to go to one nap a day! I selfishly LOVE the time I get during their naps. Sniff....please don't tell me it's over! :(

I am right there with you. I was actually going to post this today to. My guys are just 9 1/2m corrected and all week long have been fighting the morning nap (like right now) I think they're too young and so far have just kept on putting them down. I hope this is just a phase for your twins and mine.

No advice just wanted to let you know your not alone.

Over in the 1-4 forum there have been lots of threads about this phase - kids not really ready to go to one nap, but who seem like they want to. If I'm remembering correctly, most say that this phase lasts a week or two and then your kids will go back to two naps without much fuss.

That's how it worked for us right around 11 months old. Now at almost 15 months we're making the transition to one nap. I can tell this time that they're ready whereas they definately weren't at 11 months, even though they fought that first nap. Good luck to both of you!

Mine weren't really ready for one nap until closer to 18 months, although they did this same thing for about a week right at the age yours are now. I would say try to stick it out for a while, and see if it's just a phase. I think and/or hope it is, especially since I know what you mean about loving their naptime.

Mine just went through a phase like that. I just kept putting them down at their scheduled nap times. Now they are both back to napping.

No, they are probably not ready yet. They are just taking a break ;) Mine went through this and I did separate them and they learned to sleep better and then I put them back together. It was a phase about 2 weeks. They did not give up the morning nap until they were close to 14 months old.

Have they currently been on 2 naps a day or 3? My one dd stopped her morning nap right at 12 months but was fighting it for about a month before so IMO, no it's not too early. Well, at least not for them it wasn't but for me, I was not ready. It was hard to let her stop taking that nap but I just knew I couldn't force it any longer so I had to suck it up and deal <_<
