ivana is becoming SUCH a drama queen! the last two evenings (before bed) she cries hysterically until someone is holding her while standing up. well, we don't want her getting used to that. and now she does it during feedings. she's dry, she's burped, she's fed, and she just cries until i pick her up. then she's smiling. i couldn't take it anymore just now so i put her in her crib. (she's quiet and watching her ocean wonders). i don't know what to do. marina was doing this last week (tho not so dramatically). should i just let her cry? i'm guessing she's overtired and VERY cranky. (she's been up for quite a while now)

I have noticed my DD doing that lately, maybe they just need more comfort.. But i just let her cry.. It sounds cruel.. but i have 2 other kids that i have to take care of. If she was the only one.. she wouldnt leave my arms.. and that cant happen.. :)

Mine went through a phase like that as well. Sometimes we would pick her up, and sometimes she had to wait and just cried. I kept thinking it had something to do with that they were realizing there was more world out there than they could see by themselves, but I don't think that was really it. It made it easier for me to deal with, though.

Ugh this is my Emily right now too!! It's so frustrating I just want to cry and dh wants to throw in the towel!! I'm tired of hearing crying babies and would love a day of just no crying. I guess we just have to hang in there. I'm hoping it'll get better as they get older.

DD does that too, she tends to do better when I'm not in sight. After their solids meal they always do 'exersaucer' time to be able to digest a bit (and let me get bottles made and start the laundry) and I find myself sneaking around the house b/c she will play happily until she sees me and then whines and cries for me to come get her.

    No advice, just a :hug99:

Meara was always like that when she was tiny. This is when I used the Bjorn so I could hold her and get some stuff done. If its any consolation, now she is too busy playing to come hang with momma and only give me 'drive by' hugs.

Sofia is becoming quite the drama queen herself! I am trying to 'ignore' her and not encourage this behavior because it makes me CRAZY!

Hopefully its a phase and 'will pass soon'. ;)

Sounds like my Cassidy lately... maybe it's an age thing :unknw: ?

:hug99: Sometimes DH or I hold her and sometimes she just has to cry. We're just kind of waiting it out, hoping it's a phase!
