Probably an inane question, but how do the folks in hot climates dress their babies? It's summer in Ontario and on really hot days I want to put them in little onesies or tank dresses, but I'm afraid they will be too cold indoors with the A/C! So they end up wearing sweaters in the house and sleeping in sleep sacks - it just seems a bit silly. Our A/C isn't blasting, but we do need it to stay comfortable somedays.

Hi well here in NJ its been superhot (90's) so obviously we have the air on so i have them in feety pajamas or in onesies with a blanket. At this point we don't take the out anywhere (They are preemies) so that's pretty much it..

i'm in atlanta, which feels like the armpit of america during summer. i adjust their clothing if i know we're going to be inside or out. i don't like sweating so we keep the house temperature low, which means the boys sleep in footie pajamas. if we're going out in the heat during the day, i'll check their clothes and swap for something lighter if necessary.

onesies! we do dresses, rompers, etc out and about but most of the time just a onesie. We have a/c but it isnt the coolest house since we have an old house with upstairs, it stays warm when its 90+ outside

We do like Sara, mine sleep in footie pajamas or heavier jammies most of the time, but I put them in lighter onesies or outfits when we go out. We live in SC.

Here in Oklahoma we top 90's most every day and will start topping 100 next month. It's ridiculous. During the day when we are home I keep the babies in onesies and I keep those little soft cotton pants nearby. That way if they start to seem cold I came slip them on. At night they sleep in footed pjs. DH can't sleep unless we have arctic temps in the house.

When we do go out, which isn't very often I dress DD in tank dresses or little tank one pieces and I dress DS in rompers or shorts and a onesie.

It's been in the 90s (actually hit 100 last week!) for a couple of weeks here. We have the air on but not in the mornings or every night- we'll open windows. They live in onesies right now! Daytime is the 'boy' onesies (they have short sleeves and little shorts). Nighttime is long-sleeve onesies and cotton sleep sacks. Sometimes first thing in the morning when I get them dressed they are chilly but it lasts for like 1/2 an hour, tops.

I'm in New England. Footie pjs in the bedroom (with the a/c); onesies or naked downstairs and on the porch (no a/c); onesies & pants/capris when we go out so I can adjust for the weather by removing their pants. I have a bag in the car where I keep 2 hoodies for them if it gets really cold when we are out.

I like the idea of tank dresses as a good substitute for onesies when we go out! I can put her in leggings and it would work great :)

We live in eastern Ontario and have had our share of hot humid days so far. On especially warm days I will dress them in sleeveless cotton dresses, rompers or shorts and a tank top (if we're going out). When it's hot outside and we have the a/c on they are usually in onesies with cotton stretch pants. At night they sleep in an air conditioned room so they wear sleepers and a sleep sack.

It's been in the 90's here for a while and we keep our house at 75. I keep the girls in onesies and little dresses all of the time. I still swaddle them at night, so I sleep them in onesies too. If they seem like they are getting cold, I put on socks, pants or just a blanket, but both of them are pretty warm natured and and seem fine in just onesies.

I put them in rompers or shorts/shirt during the day. For naps, I cover them with a blanket (microfleece throw) and at night, they are in footie pjs, sometimes the thicker ones. So far, it seems all the kids like to be nice and warm to sleep so we put the a/c on 76 and wrap up in blankets. When they were smaller, I used sleep sacks.
