I'm going crazy. There is dress up stuff EVERYWHERE. I have police officer, firefighters, pirates, knights, hair dresser, chefs, astronaut, princesses, princesses, and did I mention princesses?? If I had to guess, I'd say we had at least 20 dress up outfits, if not more. Add in hats, shoes, bracelets, necklaces, wands, etc etc. It.is.EVERYWHERE.

Now, I saw an amazing dress up organizer/storage on Pinterest that I would love to do. Dh isn't on board and I need his help. But I'm at the point, where I just may go to the store solo and buy the stuff. He took the unit that the various bins come on, and tried to use that. Can we say ultimate fail?!?

So-what have all of you used? Or are you in the same predicament? I really am going to have to give dh an ultimatum! He just needs to cut the wood and put it together and I will do the rest. Ugh.

Can anyone guess I'm in playroom he11?!?

1 big tub. 30 million dress-up outfits. 1 giant heap of a mess.

The kids dig through it to find stuff and then shove everything back in. I need a dress-up closet, but at this point, I'll just suck it up for the next few years until they are out of the dress-up phase.

    Good luck!!!

Lol! I know that is sooooo much easier. But I love their playroom(I know it won't be that forever), so I want everything cute. It's a wonder my dh still lives here!

Anyways....all our totes are held up with 5 years worth of twin clothing. ;)

Meg, I wanted to do a cute dress up bureau I saw on Pinterest too! But knowing myself very well, realized the girls would be done with dress up by the time I finished it! [IMG] So I compromised with myself and bought an adjustable clothing rack to use for hanging clothes and a couple of bins for things that wont hang. A separate one for shoes and a smaller jewelry bin. Here's the rack I got: Garment Rack. The nice thing about it it is that silver tubing can slide all the way down and it's the perfect height for the kiddos to hang their own clothing up (not that that happens all the time!).

I have two foot stools that the lids come off full of every dress up you can think of… that way the room looks nicer when dress up is not in use and its extra seating when grandparents come to play:

We put it in a toy box here. But yes, it ends up all over the house too.

One large rubbermaid with a tight fitting lid. That way they can't get into it without me knowing. This allows me to remind them to put back anything they aren't currently wearing after they're finished digging everything out to find the one item they just have to have. ;) It's not pretty though. Maybe you could modge podge yours? :p

Toy box here;). I like the garment rack idea though! Or maybe a tension curtain rod you can hang towards the bottom of the closet?

Used to be all in one big tub but now we have canvas bins: one for hats and capes, one for masks, one for costumes. (And then others for Legos, blocks, and other toys.)

Thanks ladies for all of the ideas!

DH and I *may* have a compromise!

We have three bookcases that are 3*3. I bought them unfinished so I could paint them to match the room, so they are moveable, and not connected to each other. So what we are going to hope to do is take two-one on each side. Put a dowel/rod in between them. Then on the bottom, have the third bookcase look upward(if that makes sense, lol) and they can throw the accessories in there. On the outside of one bookcase, I could even put a mirror. And then I can repaint if necessary.

    This is what I wanted:

    Dress Up

And if it all works out, I will get something pretty close! I will post a pic when it is done!
