I've been noticing that the past few nights I have been just covered in sweat when I wake up. Everything is wet from my pantyliner to my pillows to my neck and forehead, just covered with sweat. I keep the a/c at around 70-74 degrees and sleep with blankets but even while I was at the hospital this was happening. So is this normal? Do any of you ladies wake up like this just drenched in sweat????

Oh yes, I think it's from all the hormones or whatever but I used to have to keep the a/c down to 65 because I could never get cooled off.

BTW, Love your avi. Cute onsies!

Yes, I thought it was the weirdest thing too. I had to keep my room around 64/65 and I would still have to leave the blankets off at times. Poor dh had to sleep elsewhere or freeze to death!

Oh yeah I remember that too!! The best night of sleep I got while pg with my dd (at the end of Dec) was a night I slept with the windows WIDE open. It was awesome. My dh was downstairs on the couch with like a billion comforters on him. Hormones are amazing aren't they!

Yes, I used to get that too. Horrible isnt it but it will pass. It happened after giving birth too - body´s way of getting rid of the excess fluid!

I was going to say this too! After I had them, I'd be freezing all the time, and then I'd go to sleep and wake up just drenched - the bed was even soggy. Yuck! But totally normal.

Yes! Every night I have this! OMG.... I keep the AC on low, around 72 degrees and still I sweat. I sleep in a tank top and undies only, everyone else is covered in blankets, and I keep getting up to turn the ceiling fans on too!!

I never had that while I was pg, but I had it for about 10 days after giving birth -- just so you know not to expect it to magically go away (though if you're lucky it might) when your twins are born.

I sleep on my back and when I wake up my back, legs, arms, neck and head are drenched in sweat. Just my belly isn't. Lol! I always feel gross after waking up in the mornings and I have to shower and then if I go for a nap its the same thing so I end up showering 2 sometimes 3 times a day. My 5 year old thinks I am crazy right now! Lol!

I had this after having my last baby while still in the hospital. I wondered what it could be as I kept up waking up hot and cold and hot and cold and drenched in sweat! The beds were plastic mattresses and so we figured it wasnt soaking up any so sweat at night and that's why I slept horribly and would go from one extreme to the other. You sleep on an air mattress don't you, maybe the "plastic" is making it worse. Try putting more blankets or sheets underneath you and the mattress to absorb the sweat (yuck I know LOL). Of course hormones also play a big role too. Good luck!

Yup. I did on a regular basis at home and I still do now in the hospital. The doctors told me it's alot of hormones for me and now these lovely hosptial mattresses. yuck
At home I had to change the bedsheets every day and sometimes shower twice a day or more. I used to freeze the hubby out of the bedroom all the time.

They warned me I might still have these hot sweaty spells for a week or so after delivery. It's very likely if I've been having them for quite some time now.

    Just hang in there!
