Last night I had my second dream of life after the 'babies' come. I really hate dreams like this. Nothing in the dream was horrible. I wasn't sad or anything. It all seemed like we were happy, the kids loved everything, I was healing well, etc.

The only thing is that in both dreams, there was only one baby :( And I think what is bothering me about it the most is that in the dream I didn't even notice there was just one.

Maybe it just means I can't grasp the concept of two? I really do not think I don't want two. Yes, i was scared at the beginning. Yes, I didn't even want to be pregnant. BUT I have gotten excited about it and find myself daydreaming through the day about the positive what ifs.....

    Anyone else have strange dreams?

I had a more horrible dream than any of those a few nights ago. First i wasnt pregnant and there werent any babies around and my daughter got sick and died. I woke up crying... That was a very sleepless night. I havent had one since though!

Not that I am happy everyone is having bad dreams, but I AM glad that I am not the only one. Maybe it is just hormones? GAH! I can't believe I just wrote that!

Last night I dreamed that a hand came through my belly - actually just the 5 fingers. They wiggled around for a minute and then went back in. PG dreams are very weird...

Dreams!!! HAHAHA I have a ton of them. I keep repeating this dream... I have my babies, and loose them, in the hospital. The funny thing is that I'm a nurse and I work in the hospital I deliver in. It's a horribly scary feeling. I leave the babies in my room to go do something (changes each dream) and can't find my room. I am running up and down stairs trying so hard to find them. Horrible feeling. Then I had a dream that I wasn't allowed to give birth in the hospital, I had to delivery in a holistic center because they weren't sure if I was having a baby, or a dog. So I gave birth to a snake!!!! The nurse put the snake in the pillow case and I went to visit a friend. Well she got so excited that I had a snake she took it and COOKED it! I ate my baby! That was a very disturbing dream.....

wow. that's a crazy dream! when i was pregnant with my son i had a dream that i was intimate with a wolf and that's how i got pegnant with him. i don't care what Freud would say...i can assure you that i don't have any latent desire to get it on with animals.

Babycenter has some great info on dreams while pregnant. Dreams can definitely be crazy during pregnancy and by no means are a window to what will actually happen!

    QUOTE
Dreams are like funhouse mirrors that reflect your emotional state. Since pregnancy can feel like an emotional roller coaster, don't be surprised if your dreams become more vivid and crazy than usual. Dreams also become more vivid during pregnancy because of increased progesterone and increased awakenings from dream-filled REM (rapid eye movement) sleep.

Some experts think pregnancy dreams — which can be about everything from tadpoles and fishes to talking animals and towering skyscrapers — symbolize your excitement, fear, and apprehension about the physical and emotional changes happening to you. They believe that certain themes are common to each stage of pregnancy.

when i was pregnant with my daughter i woke up screaming because of only one dream. and it was the most aweful dream that i have ever dreamed. i dreamed that i had come home from work and went to my dad's house to pick up my 2 sons and i found my dad in the kitchen with my oldest son in a huge pot on the stove in water and the stove was on. and i freaked out and got him off the stove, i asked my dad where my younger son was and he pointed to the stove which was set on 450 degrees. i looked in the oven and my youngest son was in a cooking pan with an apple in his mouth and his eyes were sunken into his head. everything about that dream was so real in one sense. it felt real and looked real. and if i hadn't woken up i probably would have thought that it was real.

after going to church later i learned that this had been a spirit of fear on my life and i was delivered of that spirit. i grew up with this spirit on me. my dad ruled over our house hold with fear and that fear was trying to follow me even when i wasn't anywhere near my dad and i hadn't heard from him since the last threat.

of course that was before i started going to church. now i have forgiven him and prayed that God would change my dad. the good news is that i got to spend Christmas with my dad after 10 years of not seeing or hearing from him. he came to my house from 800 miles away and it was like nothing ever happened. i have seen a dramatic change in my dad! i know that he's not perfect but i believe in my heart that my dad is not the same person he use to be.

yes dreams are weird and i do belive that they can be interpreted.
    lots of love!

I swear I was going to post about this the other day. I keep having dreams and there is only one baby and I keep thinking it is some kind of bad omen. I think that our entire lives we prepare to have babies but just not two at once so maybe our minds are just lagging behind a little in grasping that we are going to have two at once. Sorry but I'm glad to hear someone else has had this happen!

Wow, I thought I was the only one having crazy dreams. I had one dream that I delieved the babies and brought them home right away, but one wasn't breathing...so I told my husband to make him breath. When he finally got him to breath, I realized I wasn't through with my delivery (the after birth), so I told my husband we had to go back to the hospital. Before I knew it, he strapped them up in their own harnesses and they were running around with my two dogs....I had two puppies!!
Then just last night, I had another dream that I had two puppies....and I could hear my aunt saying "Man that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen". I felt so bad and at the same time I was thinking, yea, my baby is hairy!
Geez, the crazy dreams we have!

I had a dream that I kept feeling them hitting me in the same spot over again. When I lifted my shirt to look at my belly, I could see fists imprints. Suddenly, they broke through! Four little hands, twenty fingers, reaching out to me. The hole got bigger in my stomach, and I could see little eyes looking at me. All I could think was, 'How am I going to keep them in there until I get some help?'
I know I must have had a weird one this AM, because I woke up to DH sitting over me looking concerned. I must have called out in my sleep. I think I am glad I don't remember!

I have the most graphic, horrible, B movie type dreams. They got really bad with my son and are just starting with these two. Boy oh boy I can't believe my mind is capable of imagining such terrible things!

But I must admit, the "adult" dreams aren't so bad

I agree, since dh read that sex can start labour, and the doc said that these two have to stay in for the maximum bennefit it has been slow in that department!!! <_<

but for strange dreams, I too dreamt about having kittens and then about giving myself a c-section. I truely laugh at myself some mornings.

I just had to say that mandieolivia's dream about being intimate with the wolf was the funniest thing I have read in a while. I dreamed that the twins popped out of the side of my stomach at 20 weeks wearing little blue hats (so it will be interesting to see if they are boys or if it's true that you dream opposite of what they really are). I asked a friend of mine to watch them since I had some stuff to do and told her that when I got back we would have to figure out how to get them back in since I knew they had some more cooking to do.

And on the subject of the "adult" dreams, what I want to know is why I always have them about totally random people I have either not thought of in years, or people that I wouldn't consider having sex with if you paid me. Every once in a while I have one where it was my husband and I wake up feeling so relieved. I actually find the pregnancy dreams a little creepy and can't wait until they are over.

    WOW!!!!

After reading about all of those dreams, I guess I'll sit back and be VERY happy about my recurring "Adult" dream staring Mathew McConaghey!!!!

Watch, now I jinxed myself and they'll stop and i'll start dreaming about alien babies or something. lol :D

My worst pg dreams have usually involved something along the lines of forgetting the baby...or intentionally leaving it at home by itself... With my older dd I dreamt that I gave birth to a beautiful china-doll looking little girl with little pipe curls in her black hair... But she looked like she was a year old already! She was a good size when she was born 8lbs1oz..and I did feel like I had given birth to a 3month old... but her hair was super straight... Last night I dreamt that I had another boy... which I am secretly kind of hoping for... so hopefully that dream is a good sign... The funny thing is that he was a newborn and he was sucking on his thumb just like my Judah does... but he didn't start that habit until he was 5 months old...most newborns can't find their thumb!! at least mine haven't been able to!!

HAHA! I agree! I keep leaving my husband for random celebs. People I dont even like...Doug AND Deacon (from King of Queens which I have only seen a hand full of times) and Michael Richards are just a few. I also had a dream that I found out I had been raped by Mario Lopez (I LOATHE Mario Lopez) and the baby was his! UGH! Awful!
