So i've officially been on strict bedrest for 3 weeks now after my lovely trip to L&D that started it all. Its been 2 weeks since my last appt, so i was curious as to how well i was doing. The good news is that my dr believes the bedrest is making a diff and is prolly the reason i havent had these babies yet. Unfortunately my cervix is extremely soft and while i haven't dilated much, the way baby A is situated etc, she said she doesnt think they can stop labor if it starts and due to my history etc, she doesnt think i will make it too much longer. Sooo, i get to start my steroid shots today and pray these boys keep cooking. She and i joked that now that i'm getting the steroid shots they will probably decide to cook till induction.

I have to admit though that i'm nervous. My ob i love to death and unfortunately i have to be 35 weeks in order to deliver at the hospital she delivers at. She told me that if i have signs of ptl to go straight to the other hospital, and it makes me nervous with drs that i dont know. Mind you the peris that have been reading my u/s and double checking everything this pregnancy are the ones at that hospital, i havent met any of the drs and pray i make it to week 35. On top of that, the army is sending

apparently my sig disappeared, odd...i'm 30w2d....i just realized that it cropped the whole last part of my post too so the end in a nutshell...

The army is sending my DH out of town for 5 days starting monday and my parents are also gone, so i'm a bit nervous over this next week. Both the kids and i will be staying with MIL, so we'll see how things go.

Just make sure you stay on strict bedrest and let MIL do ALL the work! I'm glad you will have someone there with you just in case. As for delivering with a different doctor, you'll be surprised how little you care once you go into labor. At least for me (who had yet to meet all the docs in the practice AND the one I hated was on call) once those contractions started and my water broke, I was just so scared and wanted the babies our safely that I didn't care who did it. I knew they would be safe once they were out b/c we have an amazing NICU.

Hang in there and keep them cooking! The steroid shots did wonders for my boys so I'm really glad you got them! I hope you and your Dr. are right and that they will stay in there till induction! Big hugs!

Oh I am so sorry to hear this! You can do it momma! :hug:s

My last pregnancy I didn't have a clue who would deliver us, they have a maternity clinic in my City's hospital where you go for your prenatal care and all I knew is that it would be one of the clinic doctors delivering. Honestly I really didn't care when I was in labor (I did before) but was happily surprised at a doc that I had never seen before, he did an awesome job delivering my little girl!

Try not to worry about that too much! I know that's hard! And yes let MIL take care of everything for you!

Got a phone call from the drs office a couple hours ago and my ffn test came back positive. We'll see if these guys go by the test, or decided to prove it wrong. probably a good thing i got the steroid shots regardless.
