Lately I have been feeling just so down and out.....

I feel like a complete slob-- I am either in my pajamas all day, or if i am lucky sweats...My hair always up in a ponytail and not a stitch of make up on my face...Not like i would sit at home fully dressed with make up all the time... but at least i had time to shower and get ready if i needed to...

Its so hot out here where i am that i rarely take the girls out for a walk because it is 95 degrees out...i dont even have the energy to pack them up and even take them to the air conditioned mall.....I basically sit in my basement all day with them...The upstairs of our home is not baby proofed...the basement is....So i stay down here with them and basically play, watch tv, or go on the computer...I cant get any house work done cause i am down here with them....

I take care of my kids all day from 7-4 while my husband works, then I leave for work(4 days a week.) I work nights from 5-11. I get to bed around 12 then i am up at 5am when the kids wake....I feel exaused all the time...

I feel like i have no time in the day to do anything. The babies go to bed at 7. On the nights when i dont work i cook dinner with my husband from 7-8. By 8pm i have no energy to do anything..............

i feel like i have no time to myself. I love and adore my babies but i really have not figured out how to balance my life.......

I can totally understand your plight. I am a SAHD. The weather here has been really hot as of late too. I know 95 degress is hot but try just walking for a little bit maybe 10-15 minutes. This will at least give you the satisfaction of leaving the house and seeing the outside. I know I stay inside with my kids most of the day but I also like to take the twinkies out for a car ride every now and then. They would still be in the AC but you would be out of the house.

It's so easy to get into a rut with small kids.. I have been in one myself for a while. You really have to work to make it happen, you just have to find the motivation. Leave your husband to make dinner one day and baby proof a room in the upstairs of your house. Join a moms group, connect with other twin moms in your area if there's a twins club. Splurge on a babysitter for an afternoon and go have a coffee or get your hair done. You'll find that as soon as you can get re-charged even a little you'll have more energy to change other areas of your life too. Good luck, it's so tough being home!

I am a SAHM to 4 kids so i feel your pain. It's been 95-100 here for weeks. We rarely go out unless we go somewhere like walmart, target, pet store, the mall....somewhere with a/c. When we do go out, I wait until 5pm, when the sun is behind our big tree, and we go in our wading pool on the deck. Even if you don't have a pool, fill some pans or bowls with water and let the babies splash on the deck in them. They will have a blast with it. Buy a cheap bubble blower and blow bubbles for them, I gaurantee they'll love that. We have a sand and water table, and while most of the sand ends up in the water, or on the deck, they do love playing with it. You will be shocked how much they will change in just 6 months, and they will be entertaining themselves a whole lot more. Mine are now getting into mega blocks, and I pulled out our wooden train track today and all 4 kids have spent all morning in the babies room playing with that and the trains. I'm sure it's a disaster but I refuse to check, they are all playing so wonderfully!

From what you're saying, it looks like you only get 5 hours of sleep per night; no wonder you're exhausted!! You just can't make up that much of a sleep-deficit on weekends/days off. Is there any way you can move your LOs bedtimes a little later so they sleep later in the morning? Even an extra hour or 2 per night would do wonders for your mood and energy level. You poor thing! I really hope you find a way to make your schedule work so you can get some rest!

You are decribing me. No make-up, hair in a pony tail and in my house clothes all day. Our kitchen/living room is all baby proofed and thats where we spend our day. I was not getting anything done.

I just started recently getting things done by them just being with me in the rooms that I am working on. So far its working. Yes, they play with stuff but nothing is broken. Its making me much happier.

Another thing too, I make an effort to see my friends by myself for a couple of hours a week. It has made me smile and has given me something to look forward to!
