    Sara I remember when you had them. I was sooo jealous! I kept thinking it wasn't fair that you were done being pregnant and I was still suffering. :D

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ANNIKA AND AINSLEY! Oh how well I remember this time last year and the post from your husband. I was so glad they were healthy, and so anxious to hear your story, since I had a feeling mine would be similar :)

    :wub: :wub: Thanks, ladies. I can't believe it! They're ONE!!

    Here a slide show with a few pictures from Then and Now

    I'm still working on their Montage Video; I want to include pictures from their little party which is on Sunday. We're just having a couple friends and family over as we usually do on Sunday. I'm baking little cakes and we'll sing and that's about it!

    This year has been so amazing; I don't know where to begin. All I can say is that twins are amazing in so many ways. I feel blessed with 2 beautiful, healthy, and easy babies, and a wonderful husband and older DD to help out!
    In summary:
    They were born on Dec 12th after many weeks of modified bedrest, issues with IUGR and myself developing signs of pre-eclampsia. We knew they were small, but the last ultrasound was still about 1/2 lb off: they were born by c/s at 4lbs and 3lb3oz. They spent 3 wks, including a heartwrenching Christmas and New Year, in NICU, mostly as feeders and growers. They came home together on Jan 3rd and it took another 3 wks before I could breastfeed them well. Since then they've done great, although they are still being monitered for lack of weight gain. No health problems, thank God.
    They take turns with milestones; Ainsley could hold her head up first, Annika crawled on all fours first. I love this as it spares me the twin-mom struggle of comparing and worrying if one is on track etc. I didn't move them to their own room until about 8 months, but now wish I'd done it sooner! We're still moving towards sleeping through the night, and I'm only up once or twice anymore, including a midnight feed. The hardest thing we've had to deal with is the stomach flu and the issue that I'll be taking with me to 1-4 board -- FIGHTING!

    Anyway, I could go on forever, but it's taken me an hour to write this as I've had to stop and break them up and console whoever got hit over and over. Basically, I love these twins, and I love Twinstuff for being a constant source of support, understanding, and great ideas. I'm a better parent thanks to you all!

    I can't believe they're one already! I remember hanging out in FY, commiserating together and waiting with baited breath for your birth story! I guess that means my girls' 1st bday really is coming soon. :D I've been in a bit of denial about that!
