My son will be 18 months old when the boys are born - I need a double stroller that has an optional toddler seat. Does anyone have one of these, or know of a good model? ANY advice would be appreciated!!! I'm trying to register now, and my family has lots of questions!

There is the Valco Runabout Twin with the Toddler seat as seen HERE. I have read rave reviews from moms here, although it is quite pricey!

There is the Buggy Board, as seen HERE that can attach onto a tandem double stroller.

There is the Joovy Big Caboose HERE.

But lastly, my only suggestion since your toddler will still be so young...get a triple stroller. They are expensive, but I see them occasionally on Craigslist, and I know moms in our twins club sell them from time to time. That may work too.

We have the Valco Runabout the pp mentioned and we absolutely LOVE it. Not a single complaint. Pricey, but worth every single last penny. Good luck with your decision!

That's the one I was leaning toward. Thanks for the advice! Does anyone know what it looks like folded up? Does it have a pretty large profile while folded? We're looking at getting a Ford Explorer with a 3rd row, and I'm wondering if it'll even fit in the back. Thanks!

I just ordered the Valco Double with the toddler seat but I haven't received it yet. It is pricey but the only complaint I've been able to find about it is that it's a little difficult to assemble initially. The Valco website (www.valcobaby.com) has a picture of what it looks like folded up.

we just took it on a road trip with us and we had it in the back of our expedition with 2 suitcases, a giant bloodhound dog, and it still fit! It folds down even farther if you take the wheels off (one push of a button and they come off...nothing complicated). It should fit in an explorer fine. Almost all double strollers are kinda big, so I'm not really sure how much smaller you'd get.

We have the valco twin runabout and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! We bought it here and Rodney offers a twin discount!!! We hiked up a mountain on the Appalachian Trail when the babies were 7 weeks old!!! DD was not yet 3!! Anyway, by the time we got back to the bottom of the mountain DH said it was worth its weight (42 lbs, I believe) in gold!! So, DD is now 5 and I keep saying I am going to take the extra seat off, but you would be surprised how many hitch-hikers I end up picking up for mommy's who just refuse to provide a place for their young older child!!! :) So, even still my taxi srvices come in handy to make everyone's excursions more enjoyable!!

We have a Jeep and it fits great in the back with 2 suitcases! Hope this helps.
    You can pm me anytime!!

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm DEFINITELY getting this one! Every "triple" I look at looks like a boat. Not fun for shopping! Y'all are so active. I can't believe you hiked with that thing! Sure does make me feel better about being able to stay active with all three in tow. :)

    THANKS AGAIN!

No problem! Yes, I have a Combi twinn savvy as well and I NEVER use it! I use my valco for the mall, walking, the park, the zoo, YOU NAME IT!!! I can steer it with one hand and it is just wonderful to use!!! The first summer we were in Texas, we had awful sand spurs that kept killing the tires!!! I got to know my local bike shop really well as they had to keep replacing the tubes - took about 5 minutes. They ended up using the old tubes to line the tires and put the new tubes inside of them. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES IN 2 YEARS NOW! So if you start having issues in very dry sand spur grass then keep that in mind! :) Have fun and look forward to having the only children under control and happy in any shopping or fun experience around!! On that note, Brayden did not like it at first, on month old, but it did not take long before he LOVED it too!! I just kept walking and soothing him!! LOL!!! TRAINING!! Isn't that what parenthood is all about?!?!?!?!?

We have a MBUD with kiddie board, but my oldest was 2 1/2 when the twins were born, she's now over 3. If she would have been much younger, I would have definitely gotten the Valco, but I like the looks of the MBUD better, and had no intention to carry my 40lbs 3 yo in that seat! She's doing really well with the board. We bought the Lascal one (kiddie, not buggy), so it could be an option once he gets older.

Help! I'm in the same situation, kind of. My twins are 10 months now and have outgrown the snap-n-go, but also I have a 2 yr. old. NOTHING seems to fit in my minivan!!! I can't fold down the the 3rd row because I have 4 kiddos! I desperately want the VALCO or the Big Caboose....just ANYTHING to contain all 3 little ones. Does anyone have a minivan and a stroller for 3 that works well?? I even found a VALCO with toddler seat on craigslist, but I just measured my van and I don't think it will fit. Any suggestions??

YEP!!!!!!! get a different van........LOL..........the Valco twin runabout with a toddler seat is SSSSSOOOOOOOOO worth it. My twins are almost 22 months, and their next older brother is 5 and even with all of them in it, it is a breeze to push. Each seat on this stroller is designed to carry 45 pounds (135 pounds of living breathing children) and still it is super easy to manuver around.....we have a 15 passanger van (that we leave a row of seats out of, and put the stroller in, without having to fold it down, and off we go). I have 7 children total, so I have run through alot of strollers, and I must say that this one is here to stay!!!!!!!! Money is very tight here, and I would have skipped a week of buying groceries to get this stroller.........you will not be dissapointed if you get this.
